I'm a river--I'm flowing--I'm changing--I'm growing
into the person that I'm meant to be.
I'm a fire that's burning for truth and I'm learning that all of my strength is inside of me.
I'm a cool breeze that's showing where my life is going--my spirit's refreshed--my mind is set free.
I'm a flower--I'm blooming but I'm not assuming that my life will become a fantasy--I'm embracing my reality!
A teardrop rolls
Onto her cheek,
Hits the floor
And explodes.
It floods her room
Floods her life.
It gets so deep.
She must go.
She has to run,
Though seen by none.
Here it comes -
Blurring the sun.
It devours all the land
Soaking what was dry.
All she sees is its vast span,
Wishing she could die.
Deeper, deeper!
She’s sucked down.
Deeper, deeper!
She is drowned.
In an awkward place…
Her hand on her face
Wipes the tear from her eye -
Suddenly all is dry.
The first time i heard this poem was in a film called 'Dead poets society', it starred Robin Williams -- a truely recommended film.
O Captain! My Captain!
CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
my dads good, my dads cool
he ain't nobodys fool
hes sweet and kind
when im bad hes blind hihi
i love him more
dont like that, huh? there's the door

Hey, pretty one
Have you seen what you've done ?
You've broken my heart in two.
One day when you're older,
and you're future has past
You'll find your beauty won't last.
When the traces of time
show in every line.
Remember,
I still love you, pretty one.
Pretty one.
I smiled,
like everything was alright.
I laughed,
like things were funny.
I sang,
like there were things to sing about.
I ran,
as if I were eager to run.
But that smile hid a frown,
and my laughs hid my tears.
My dance kept me from falling.
And running made it hard to stop....
when your throat starts to clench
& tingle & your heart gets so warm
the heat travels through your body,
when your stomach starts to feel
those unforgiving butterflies that
spark the instant flow of tears.
that's
the worst pain you'll ever feel.
that
is your heart breaking..
The Darkness:
If only it were so simple,
to cruise through life smelling roses;
but the obstacles blacken the countryside,
and we unwittingly crush them beneath our boots.
Dreams sustain us through the madness;
goals give a finish line to our race.
Yet they change with every turn, around every wall,
and remain elusive throughout the quest.
Mistakes are made, and regrets are our luggage;
we will drag them with us to slow us down.
The victories are flashes of light, sudden and unlasting, which allow us
to glimpse the road ahead before darkness descends.
Love is bitter, yet it is the bread that keeps us.
Over and over it fills us up, only to starve us.
The people whom we love shape our destinies and our strengths,
yet leave us cold and alone in the darkness.
There are others trying to race to the end;
occasionally, we bump into one or two.
The bonds we form help us down the path less lonely
but eventually, we lose each other in the darkness.
Alone is not a bad way to be;
it clears your head and focuses you on the journey.
Cherish the short intervals during the quest you have with others,
but be prepared to walk alone in the darkness.
I am everywhere I am your brother, your sister I am your son and your daughter I am your friend,
your neighbour I am your classmate, your teacher
I am a doctor, lawyer, or athlete I am a soldier I am
a preacher I am everywhere And I am me But that's okay Because I am normal I am white, black, Hispanic, Asian I am tall or short, fat or skinny I am ugly and I am beautiful I am human I have needs just like you I love and I hate I get hurt but I heal I cry but I fight back
I am scared but I have courage I am insecure yet I have pride I am everywhere And everywhere I surround you So do not hate me for I am not alone I am not evil
I am not a sinner I am not lost or confused I am not diseased or disturbed I am not you
And I will not be refused What I am I was, is, and forever shall be What I am I did not choose to be.
Love me if you can for who I am, what I am, Love me for what I can be, what I will achieve Love me, or hate me, but you will no longer ignore me .
