I'd say you were my sunshine
Except I loathe those burning rays
Instead I'll say you are my night
The stars that light my way
I'll say you are the clouded sky
That sends down summer rain
Soaking deep into my skin
To wash away my pain
I'd say you were one in a million
But that just can't be true
Because I don't believe
That there are hundreds just like you
I'd say you were my shining star
But that's not good enough for you
If our love were astronomical
It'd span across a universe
Or maybe even two
I'd say you were a lot of things
But nothing can describe you
I'd paint a picture in the minds
Of those with whom I spoke
But it could never measure up
To the everything I see and feel
When in your eyes I look
So instead I've wrote this poem
Though I know it falls quite short
I hope that when you read my words
You'll understand a fraction more
How strong your hold is on my heart
She cut the words out of her mind
All the ones she couldn't find
And every letter on the page
Got her closer to escaping her cage
But she trapped herself with bars of doubt
Until she was left with no way out
So you may look into her mind
There's nothing left for you to find
She layed it all onto the floor
Until she knew she had no more
You're talking to a stranger
The one you see there is not me
She has my voice and wears my skin
But I am hiding deep within
She's angry and inhuman
And if she chose to take a form
The way she'd look to you an me
Is dark and twisted mangled and torn
She's far beyond belief
And I dare not try explain
What it is she does to those
Who dare to speak her name
Though since I myself am trapped here
I think that I can say
The identity of my master
She is Azula Rayne
Isolation twists her soul
Surrounded yet completely alone
She’s hanging on the edge
By bleeding fingers
Just about to let go
She takes a breath before the fall
One glance toward the sky
Before her surrender
Eyes closed and breath held
She releases her grip
But doesn’t fall
Angry she opens her eyes
Wondering where she went wrong this time
Then she feels the solid ground
But looking up to see her savior
She finds them to be gone
