The SELPHYL® System nicknamed the “vampire filler” by the media is a novel, simple, reproducible, hypoallergenic, and cost effective treatment. SELPHYL® is used by dermatologists and plastic surgeons to harness the patient’s own biology and platelets to naturally fill skin depressions, acne scars, wrinkles and folds, rather than using synthetic, plastic, or animal-derived materials. The natural procedure is performed by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon in their office in less than 20 minutes and typically yields 4 cc of product – enough for facial contouring.
The SELPHYL® System is an autologous platelet and fibrin processing system, which uses your own blood to prepare a product enabling the administration of your concentrated platelets and tissue building elements (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix or PRFM).

It makes you look more youthful but it doesn't last and has to be repeated. Isn't that interesting? :)
I was watching one of the family channels I believe yesterday. They showed one of these babies and an elderly woman who had one in her body for years and years. I had never heard of this prior but then I am not a doctor so why would I know? I know about it now though. They showed one that had been removed after being in a woman's body for years and it was pretty good sized.

A lithopedion (Greek:litho = stone; pedion = child), or stone baby, is a rare phenomenon which occurs most commonly when a fetus that dies during an abdominal pregnancy, is too large to be reabsorbed by the body, and calcifies on the outside, shielding the mother's body from the dead tissue of the baby and preventing infection. Lithopedia may occur from 14 weeks gestation to full term. It is not unusual for a stone baby to remain undiagnosed for decades, and it is often not until a patient is examined for other conditions or a proper examination is conducted that includes an X-ray, that a stone baby is found. The oldest reported case is that of a 94 year old woman, whose lithopedion has been present for upwards of 60 years.
The condition was first described in a treatise by the physician Albucasis in the 10th century AD, but fewer than 300 cases have been noted in 400 years of medical literature. The earliest lithopedion is one found in an archaeological excavation, dated to 1100 BC.
A related condition is known as vanishing twin, in which the fetus is one of two or more sharing the uterus. If the fetus is older than eight weeks at the time of its death, and is retained in the uterus for at least ten weeks, it may undergo mechanical compression such that it takes on a flattened, mummified appearance with a surface texture resembling that of parchment.

AND a round of more RATING...screams and pulls out hair!!!
I put rough drafts in here but it is funny, they have changed so much since I put anything up. I haven't been writing side things that much at this time. I am swamped at home. I really don't have time to be here so I am at a quandry as to whether to give up my profiles or stay. I am not up high enough to just sit and if I did that anyway, I would be blinded. Things have gotten so dicey. I don't feel the same anymore when I come here. I feel stressed.
