The testing you get from Ancestry and companies like this will not always give accurate results. I believe they can only cover about 26 areas. Here is an article that explains about it. These are autosomal tests. They aren't meant to go too far back in family genetics. here is information on them.

I would question anything where your DNA is sent to them by mail. So much can go wrong with a system like that. You do not know how its handled either once they get it.

These of course are just opinions and the Ancestry testing is for genealogical purposes. They don't go way back and in some cases a certain ethnic or racial marker may not show because they are too watered down once they get to your level. Read the article folks. There are different types of tests. This one shows both sides. If you can afford to go directly to a lab more power to you but that doesn't mean they can't be mishandled there either. Which ever way you go that wasn't the premise of this post. It was to explain what type of tests they do and how it works...NOTHING more but I guess some didn't get that.
