The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I've been here longer than six years and rating has gone downhill. I don't give everyone a 10. Why should people who do nothing basically to make a profile get a 10? I won't even give a ten if you write in the box. Anyone can do that. The name of the game is create and I mean create a profile. You don't have to give all your information but enough of your interests we get a handle on what you like and what you don't. Even if you aren't a premium member you can put up backgrounds. Read the help articles. I could give really low scores to those that only put in the bare minimum, which really doesn't include the profile, but I generally give a 7. I know how hard it is to work back from low, low ratings. We have one bombers here. (1s) They are nasty and will block you as well. They are idiots that get off on being negative. If you don't have anything, you basically don't get anything from me. I really get tired of trying to rate profiles that are not there. I also get testy if you put, just ask me which is a big no-no on this site. This is all about a game and not so much social like Facebook. Although, some do get to know others pretty well but it definitely is not a dating site. It's supposed to be about vampires and dark topics. There are other sections too; scifi and superheroes and things like that. The reason I have never made it to 100 after being here so long is I get bored trying to rate nothing or talking about topics I find boring like Wicca which is a religion and not dark in any way. Witchcraft is something else altogether but it's not dark either. Sorcery, that is something else. I also don't want to see lame claims on profiles. I put links to most I talk about. You should do that too. Otherwise if you can't put up don't write to me and ask me questions about silly things. Beliefs are fine but if they are legend oriented you can google for the information. If you want to know about the modern vampire community I can answer a little about that. Beyond that I am like anyone else. I only know about what I learned in college or by interest. Since I do write (have I should say) about non fiction topics mostly based in folklore I know some on that. Otherwise I write fiction. Most of mine are paranormal romances but not all. I haven't tried publishing because I don't like editors. One I know who is an editor but writes as well said she hated the word grabbed so she says don't use it. It is arbitrary and for no other reason than her personal taste. I find this to be connected to most editors and they aren't always right about what books people will like so I write for myself. I don't need the grief caused by publishers and self publishing is kind of expensive unless you go into the ebook area and with that you make little. So anyway, to get a 10 from me, you must show you worked on your profile. Something must be there. If you want to mark me down for not giving away a 10 when it is not warranted...so be it. I have been here long enough I don't care about pettiness anymore. I'm actually pretty easy going but I have my moments, most of which happened years ago. This is not my first profile. I had two before this one. Been here a long time. Please people, strive for excellence.

Now not all of this is correct. I saw some notations on Elizabeth Bathory which are incorrect and were not in court records. Writers made it up after her death and that is she drank the blood of her victims. Not factual...urban legend created by superstition and authors.
