Down the dark road
Towards the unknown
Your footsteps echo in the dark
You turn to look
So sure you heard
We peer through the trees
And see you pause
Just the wind you say
So brave for someone so fragile
You begin your walk again
Completely unaware of the danger
We follow you to the rivers edge
We spill no blood
And leave no trace
No one knows this place
Our color returns we can once again leave the dark
Thank you again for taking that walk
She sits alone
To think things through
So many desires
Now race through her veins
Who she was
Was who she was trying to be
Her only wish now
Is to be who she should be
Having traveled so long on the path of light
Is she too far gone
To return to the path of darkness
It wouldn’t take much
But so much may be lost
Wishing for true love
Someone to accept her
Not be frightened of her
Someone not to ridicule her
Someone to help lead her
Down the path of darkness seeking cold hands
Blood dripping from her lips
She sighs again
Knowing it may never be
The taste it flows
Over your lips
You never thought
It would be such bliss
Once you were lost
But now you seem found
Newly awakened
Your feet on the ground
As you run through the night
Causing more than just fright
Breath deep young one
This is just the beginning
Into the dark
I wander once again
No longer do I wish
To find my way out
Here is where I belong
This is my home
The moon shines down
As the night embraces me
Breathing deep
I feel the energy
Ripping through me
Drinking deep
I feel the life renewed
I hold you close
Feeling my strength return
Yes beloved this is where I belong
