Alone in chains, and wept a fore;

my heartache circles dove a soar

...and rapture is the cage I wore,

my heart in shambles, wings are torn.



Betrayal is the cruelest beast,

whose fangs a gape and breath is sweet;

you risk beheading for it's scent,

caressing for deceit.



Exit house, the path is worn;

there be no signs left which to warn-

that evil has usurped the norm

...and nothing remains with which to discern it.



Every step is labored, every breath a gasp,

the air itself poison, and no one left to ask.



...And so you wait for your demise;

alone in chains.

it flashed before my eyes and I knew I hadn't long.

But mom and dad, don't be sad for I went as was singing a song.

I know twas short, but no regrets for I knew your smile and needn't much more.
