Illegal to feed the homeless!?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For all the world's problems, I tried to believe that the world at least had a heart. That they would never knowingly harm the less fortunate and needy. However for years seemingly, almost unnoticed; cities have been passing these laws that are aghast in their cruelty ill logic.

The cities I know of are: Orlando, Dallas,Houston and Inglewood.

Though there could be more cities as well. I cannot describe the pain and sorrow this has instilled in me.

To know that the politicians themselves are as dastardly and evil as to do this. It shouldn't be surprising but it is. There goes my last bit of faith in humanity. Or at least in Democracy. I also included some links to Youtube videos so that you all can see a few examples of what is going on in the world.

Food Not Bombs, the activist/charity group that routinely shares food with the poor and homeless has seen many of it's members arrested and seemingly average people who simply wanted to do good have also been arrested. The Orlando Mayor called these people *food terrorists*

Well...I'm sure the thought had popped into your head. The mayors of Orlando, Dallas, Houston and Inglewood are food terrorists. Actually the mayor of Inglewood is so much worse if you watch these videos.

How can anyone still have any sort of faith in this country? The fourth of July is coming up and it seems more a funeral then an anniversary. Perhaps every fourth of July since the declaration of independence, has been a funeral.

It certainly has been a marker for the perpetual decline of sanity for the politicians and corporate C.E.Os whom at some point went mad with power.

However that doesn't change the fact that right now, a person is starving. And someone who has stopped to give them food has been arrested.

This is something I do on a regular basis. I will go shopping for easy open, non-parishable items and take them directly to a homeless area in my home town, and literally hand them through the car window to someone on the street. I've done this with clothes, food and money.

I don't understand humanity. I get some of the laws are there for our protection, but what about the homeless's protection? It's not equal. It's not fair.

I for one will not stop doing what I do.

Whaaaaaaaat? I'd still feed them.

"Hey... what you in jail for?"

'Oh... feeding the homeless.'

"O_o"

God am I glad we don't have that.
