Well, my father somehow forgot to unhook my connection to the internet, so Im able to use it all day while im at home *YaY* Other than that, honeycrisp apples + cottage cheese = wonderful breakfast!
So I beat the sequel to God of War, to which I might say is very interesting. But what intrigues me the most is how the main character, Kratos, and I have a bit in common. Not that I had given my soul to ares, and then slew him making me the new god of war, but similar in his aspiration to stop the lies of the gods. Now, my similarity may not be directed towards the gods, but to humanity itself. Lies are basically a defense mechanism to protect oneself out of fear, or to take vengeance on someone you loathe. In either case, his rage grew until he just about killed Zeus himself. Nothing stopped him. In some cases, you must deceive a deceiver to get the truth. Not only that, but it seems that a god can lie too, albeit just a game, it is possible. Talk about betrayal. It would drive one mad had they devoted their life to praising their god only to find that it had been a lie all along. Thats something to think about.
Though plain eyes cannot see what thoughts lay privy within me, I subject myself to stories that remain similar to my ways. Although many people have lived an experience many times over, the lessons are not always learned. To better understand what teachings prowess has prepared for us, why not try harder? Yes, as strong as I may be in comparison to those I do not idolize or look up to, I find myself weak compared to what I know I can be. The steel has not yet lied to me, nor do I expect it to. For it, as well as stone, will always be forever trustworthy, and this sport that I have signed my name in blood will reap the benefits I yearn so eagerly for. But the secret behind everything is patience and perseverance. I do not presume to know everything, but I do however take pride in knowing everything that I can. Knowledge is indeed power, and without it I would not be standing here before a mirror, peering not upon who I am... But who I am next to become. Mastering someone else is strength, mastering yourself is true power.
