Silly Sally Sunshine
Silly Sally Sunshine
sits sipping lemonade
smiling crazily to herself;
as she sits there all day.
…alone.
Silly Sally Sunshine sits
on the bench, sucking
on a straw, slurping up her
lemonade, curling up her
…toes.
Silly Sally Sunshine sits
on a swing, on a sunny
day, just rocking, back
and forth, an apple in
her hand.
Silly Sally Sunshine sits
on the beach, toasies
scrunching in the sand,
her sanity well out of reach,
as she plays with a bucket and
spade.
Silly Sally Sunshine sits
on a blanket and pats the
side of the castle she has
made, with towers and
walls, to keep them all
…away.
But, who is crazy after all?
silly Sally Sunshine, who
sits there, smiling crazily
away? Or you and I who
work and strive, to keep
her there all day?
Cross-legged he sits
halfway through the
plug he’s working
on, wires aside and
bits on the floor, as
his Dad picks at what
he’s done.
And as he twists
the copper wire
his Father says,
“It’s not quite like
that, it’s more like this.”
So he goes an
picks up a pen
to write again,
his mind upon
the wall his
Father built, all
those years ago,
And his Dad smiles
and tells him, “It’s like
a spider’s scrawl.
So do it more like
this, not like that.”
Now he goes out the
door, an his Father
sits on the couch and
says to him, as he walks
down the path and,
calls out: “You know
it looks like rain.
If I were you
I’d take a brolly.”
And head in awhirl
he pats at his pockets
then stops and turns
and goes back to where
he’d just come from
to go to his room and
root out his lolly.
And, his Dad looks up
from his paper and smiles:
“You can never get out,
all in one go, can you?”
An he looks up at the sky
of blue, with a light smile
on his face, pleased that
his Father cares enough,
to be a nag.
Friends on The Internet
I’ve lost too many friends:
I’ve been shit on, by friends
who have taken as offered
and given, but little of any
selfless thought, while I sit
on my own, waiting on the
phone, for someone to ask
me, ‘how are you doing?’
And, you ask me ‘why do
I like the computer and
friends on The Internet?’

Don't be upset Angelus. I feel your pain. For me, it feels like people just don't care enough. I've had a lot of friendships recently where I've learned it wasn't what I thought it was.
that is soo sad.
time passes my friend. those in the real world have forgotten what true friendship means. While you live across the pond. And I live here, feels like we are closer, friendship, as in beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
they do it
coz they can
they do it
coz we
allow it ..
they do not
feel, our pain
not hear our
cries: they
just, walk ..
walk away.
Afternoons are strange, on sunny, blue-sky, rainy day, waiting in a cemetery, as you notice a guy in the car nearby take notice of you; so you cross the road, and walk into the bushes; and then, from the corner of your eye that the car has moved, just a few feet away from where it had been, so the driver can see you, if he wants. So you look left and right, as you leave the cemetery: very aware, as the rain falls heavier now, that they might be just behind you. Then, you fit quiet, finally at home and check the purchase you’ve made: “Underweight, an excellent product.” And, considering the hammering in your heart, the question aches to be said for your pains, “Was it worth it?” And, of course, the answer is “yes.”

We do tend to wear our experiences on our face.
Some just wear it better than others...LOL
TRY not to ask 'why'??
A thousand reasons could be sought
and when you think
and dwell on them
it might all come to naught:
There isn't always a 'why'.
