At lunch time I saw a letter on the mat and recognized what it was immediately, from the return address: it had been from the dole – as expected. It had been news of the rescheduled state benefit medical.
This sort of thing always arrives onna friday, so I can dwell onnit over the weekend.

So I’d phoned the Involve office, where Simon works: had to leave a message… hated that. {But, it had been a Friday and these things always arrive onna friday.}
Anyway, they rescheduled the appointment.

Yet, truth be told, this recent waitin has been like bein on bail; when you know that after sentence, you're goin to jail. And in truth, these last few weeks have taken their toll on my weakened psych… Hell, hadda meltdown in my doctors… and, that was not good. But, the pleasant weather at the weekend gave me the chance to do some much needed gardening and, find a little peace through weeding.
I hadn’t been too enamoured with my trip to Broadgreen, as I’d ended up seeing Mr.Webbs registrar. Unlike Mr.Webb I had not thought much of the registrars listening skills and was more than a tad pleased when the receptionist had given me the Friday clinic, for my next appointment – as there’s no registrar onna Friday.

And then we’d had the rain my Dad and I had wanted for the garden, particularly where I’d seeded. Then Sunday night, Monday morning, I’d found the end of the story I’d been working on. It had been on the Tuesday morning, as the storm had raged outside my window, I’d finished typing it up…

I’d seen ‘young’ Mike on Thursday and hadda good evening. At about 1.00a.m. I’d gone to bed, albeit reluctantly. I’d been watching the BBC’s election coverage and had found it quite thrilling: when I’d gone to bed Labour were at 55 seats and Conservatives 28

Needless to say, once awake, the television had been back on… Paddy Ashdown had called it right, she had not needed to call that election and, although Corbyn lost --- many, like me… would say he won…

As I’d made my coffee Sunday morning, I’d looked at the calendar hanging up on the side of the larder, facing the window. It had reminded me that the next day I’d be seeing Simon, the fellow helping me with the DWP medical, as before.
I’d found myself feeling apprehensive bout seeing Simon; but then its only coz it's admitting the mess is real.

Then this Thursday I’d been expecting a visit from ‘young’ Mike and gotta phone-call with an aural text message, saying he couldn’t make it. Well, feeling a tad lonely of late, I did regret that he couldn’t call round, but understood.

Unfortunately though with my mind on permanent overdrive of late I needed some form of distraction and, I’d found it. I had taken a Doctor Who disc I’d bought and found out through the internet how to turn the tracks into .mp3 format. My idea being if the disc got scratched I’d still have the story.

Once I’d learned how to do as I’d wanted, I’d then decided to join all the tracks together, so it could play as a story on any other player than windows media player.

Truth be told, when I eventually got to bed, I’d felt quite pleased with my little bit of learning and what I’d created, with the knowledge gleamed…

And boy, have these last few days been too hot, for me at least… water the garden for Dad for awhile and you end up warm and tingly… that and I’ve had a distinct lack of sleep, through the heat…
