MerryChristmasand, a Happy New Year…
PlasticCheer and false bonhomie are the
giftsofsome to others; who expect to be
treatedasbrothers, lying to themselves,
thattheymight laugh, instead of crying;
becausetheydon’tlive, they are dying.
hello .. dancer,
oh pretty prancer
of the pole, a
whirling and
swirling, to meet
the beat
It was a day like any other, a year ago today,
the one on which I lost Mother; and it’s more
than a month, or so, her ashes were scattered
at the back of our home, on her garden…
No-one should die alone, and thankfully
she hadn’t: unconscious my Father had
found her, when he’d entered the ward,
to sit on the side of her bed and, stroke
my Mother’s hair, then kiss her on the
brow, moments before she passed away,
a year ago today.

That was beautiful. The only thing I would like to add to that is
AMEN.
It sounds so much like a prayer than a poem.
agrees that it does sort of sound like a prayer; made me have an "awwww, that's really sad'" moment.
It's one of those most beautiful poems that I have E V E R read...
Very sad but very beautiful.
*huggss*
lovely my friend, She rests with God know she is with peace.. lovely lovely words..
Thawed snow
Braving the weather I smile at the day
and the cold of the snow has given
way to a grey dank one, that affeted
the joints, with the damp getting to
my bones, that gets you to groaning,
as you step out: and brave the way
of the day…
Walking, not Stalking
I’m not calling them chav’s, really
I’m not, but it’s a good idea to wear
your collar up and your hat pulled
low, as you walk down Borough Rd,
with the by-pass to your left and, the
housing estate to your left; and the
the young couple to your left that
you approach slowly as they continue
to argue, with the voice of the woman
rising as you near, as if she’s putting
on a show, for your benefit, as you
cautiously pass; and,as they’re aware
of your presence her voice rises to one
just short of screams: such are the
couples you can meet on the street.

Loved these. You paint it exactly like it is. Great voice @};-
Having cared, deeply, now I cry on a frosty afternoon,
tears forming diamonds of frosty ice ~
Yet, I prefer to feel, than be a piece of dead driftwood
adrift through life, wondering what all the fuss is about.
And, I fear for the unfeeling and clinical,
those, who see grey, on a blue-sky day;
For those poor benighted souls do not choose to Live:
They are like those crystal tears, frozen to my cheek.

ah crystal tears..
I went for a walk in the rain,
that thawed out the snow, tho
I did not balk at, the damp and
the grey of the day, as I was free,
as I am meant to be, listening to
Heart, while I had strolled up the
road, as to the shops up the road,
whilst drops of rain fell from the
overhanging branches: and in my
own heart, sang the sweetest song
of liberation, that few can hear: and
I went for a walk today, to get some
ink for my printer; an as I did, I’d
lose my mind to the way of the day
and think, of the joy to be had, which
was not a chore; for the way of the
day, is never a bore.

finding joy in the simplest things in life
is what life should be all about. lovely as always
sometimes the best days are the ones in which we just are
It has a small, bouncy rhythm that takes you along for the walk. Very nice.
