I picked it up last night. I'm so excited. 2006 Mercedes-Benz C230, 6 speed manual.
It's got everything but a navigational system, heated seats, and fully powered front seats.
I'm in hog heaven.
I went out with a few friends on Friday night to Boomtown (a casino near my house). I only had 4 Jack and cokes...That's IT! I was trashed. I didn't realize until Saturday that it was because I only had a bowl of Cheerios and 2 small pieces of cake on Friday. Oopsie.
I went out Saturday night to a festival at a church with a couple of friends to watch this band that this staff seargant was the lead singer of. He was awesome! Well that got me into my singing mood so we went to karaoke at one of my favorite bars. I left there around 2:30 and went to stay at Brian's house since he lives on the base right next to the bar. It wasn't a good idea for me to be driving at that point.
Well, I ended up staying with him the entire weekend. It was so relaxing. And like I said in one of my last journal entries, it's too damn bad that he is leaving in a few weeks. He is such a great guy.
This weekend was so much fun. Not as many people showed up that I had originally thought. I think it was actually better that way though. The hotel room was gorgeous and the balcony right on Bourbon St was amazing. We were closer to Canal St than we wanted so when we get a hotel room for Jazz Fest, we are going to go a little further down.
Brian, a guy I'm extremely interested in and have been out with a few times, was able to come out for a few hours on Saturday night. And we went out to dinner last night. The food and conversation were both terrific.
Brian is my ideal type of guy in general. He is 6'4", gorgeous, (isn't that most girls ideal? LOL). But what's most important is that he has a wonderful sense of humor, he's extremely intelligent, very interesting, and respectful. It's really too bad that he is getting out of the Navy in less than a month and going to Orlando to finish his engineering degree and go to art school. Too bad in the sense that he is leaving, great in the sense that he is going after his dream and making it come true.
I'm going to try not to get too attached. And if I do, I sure as hell won't let him know it.
The new Eggo cereal is terrific!!
I'm not sure how it would taste with milk though. I only ate it straight out of the box because I had already eaten dinner.
I'm thinking half and half might taste good...
Yum.
Yes, most of you already know that.
I was talking to Jason on the phone tonight hoping he could help with the little problem I have with my lights. We were talking about GFI and I told him that I didn't have one in my bedroom or bathroom.
So while he was on the phone with me, I did what my dad told me to do 2 nights ago. I went to my circuit breaker and turned everything off and on 1 by 1.
And waddya fucking know..... I have lights again.
Maybe I really do need to dye my hair blonde.
Sheesh.
Many military families, including mine, still have their kids displaced. My friend Liz will be getting her daughter back the last weekend of March.
So we decided to go out this weekend and stay Friday and Saturday night in a hotel in the French Quarter.
Well, lucky me got a hotel room with a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. We are all going to share the cost and have a grand old time for ourselves and not have to worry about driving.
The last time I got a hotel room with a bunch of friends was for my 21st birthday. I'm really excited about this weekend! It's going to be an absolute blast.

And now, none of the lights in my bedroom or bathroom work upstairs. I'm getting annoyed.
Oh yeah...and not only that....the circuit breaker is NOT tripped.
I went out the other night and got home pretty late. I ended up crawling into bed around 3am. I laid down on my pillow and started, literally just started to doze when SOMEthing smacked my ass. I heard it and felt it. I am NOT joking. I was home alone in my house. After that happened I would start to doze again when I heard creaks in my bedroom. Weird things happened a total of 3 times.
Then today, I had to run upstairs and answer the phone, which was in the charger in my bedroom. The bedroom light was on as usual. I have this strange habit of keeping it on in case I come home after dark. I don't like to walk upstairs and down the hallway in complete darkness.
Anyway, I had gone downstairs and was chatting on the phone. I realized I had to go back upstairs because I forgot my cell phone charger that I needed to bring to work with me today.
My bedroom light was off. I figured the lightbulb had blown because I do leave it on all the time.
But no. It hadn't blown. The switch to the lamp is something you can't just accidently turn off.
I'm beginning to think that I either have a ghost or there is someone in my house other than myself. *shudder* I would really rather it be a ghost.
