A Gorean would say that truth not won is one that is not possessed. That if you do not have to work hard for it, then it is not exactly worth having. Do not get Me wrong... Goreans value nature. We value the blue vast reaching sky, the deep rolling seas, the great green forests... We value them more so then most... But We also value the toils of personal labor for one's self improvement too. Everything has a cost, if not in money, in blood sweat, tears, time... everything has a price for which must be paid to possess it... To understand and truly appreciate it.

Its actually quite simple, people want what is hardest to get or what they can't have/afford. Something that is free is too easy and too simple, when something is harder to get or rare, its becomes very desirable.
