I remember a time back in the mid to late 90's when I first got on the internet. I remember meeting new people everyday and just having a good time chit chatting about things and getting to know one another. There was Trust and Honesty. I had seen some people even become really good friends, it happened to me as well. Some people would even make plans to meet and the meetings would actually take place and it was just a good time.
There were no major promises ever being made, only that the people would meet and hang out. I've met my fair share of people from the internet. I've remained friends with all of them. Things even went a little further than "friendship" with a few of them, but nothing too major, if you know what I mean, but everything was always out in the open, everything was mutual.
I miss those days, I truly do, and it's not to say that things didn't happen back then that are happening now. They just didn't happen that often because there were so fewer people on the internet back then and people were allowed to talk about everything because we were all "friends".
I've always been open and honest with everyone. That's who I am, I tell it like it is. People that have turned out to be liars I have disassociated myself with. I just won't tolerate it. I will trust someone new that comes into my life. Will I trust them completely? No, complete trust is earned I'm afraid.
I reflect back on the past year or so and realize how I'm going to have trust issues now with any woman that wants to get involved with me, and it's really sad to think about because I don't want to be that person that can't trust. I don't want to be that person that has to play detective or ask 20 questions all the time. It's nonsense.
I want to be able to say "hey, go out with your friends and have a good time", and not have to worry about anything, even if she comes home at 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning from the bar.... when the bar closes at 1 am....... and she can't remember where she's been.........
ok, I'm getting off track here.... sorry.
I think everyone gets my drift though.
Today wasn't my scheduled day to go to the gym, but I woke up this morning with quite a bit of energy, more than normal.
I was able to push more weight around than I usually do with ease and also only taking 30 to 45 second breaks inbetween sets.
I wish it could be like that every time I go to the gym. I'm just glad I can take advantage of days like this.

I wish I could have days like that too. Or just, be able to channel energies I have in one diection to another.

Not everyone has an agenda or ulterior motive. But that does not mean we forget, we bear the scars and memory. But like any brotherhood, it is something that can be looked at as a sign of growth. A cruel teacher to be sure, but one that ultimately was valuable in its essence.
