Hey Zaida do you need my flight number. The airline keeps on switiching my arrivals and depatures. I was supposed to arrive at 4:15 now I am not getting there until 6:00 for the precruise party and dumbasses changed my depature from Orlando on the Saturday the 18th from 2:15 to 11:30 am. I called and got them to switch from 1130 am cuz well we're still going to be a port to 615.
Note DO NOT FLY UNINTED AIRLINES!
Anyone else have any issues????
our MidWest flight was canceled two days ago but got another one threw Delta the next day.
The earlier you arrive the better! Our group has earlier check in.
The party will start on the back pool deck at 4pm.

I'm probably overlooking the obvious, but how early is the earliest we can check in?
I'm booked for the pre/post parties and I see we can check in by 10am whats is checkout for the 19th?
technicaly 10am - but the hotel is allowing Noon for our group.

i booked a flight with delta through expedia and they are also changing my arrival day departure time around like crazy. it has changed at least three times. i chose that flight specifically because of the late morning departure time and now it's at 7:15 am!!
...the jerks.
oUr Delta time has changed a bit but at least we are still getting their, unlike midwest flight, and on the same days
I've been having trouble just finding a flight with times that would work out. Thinking about just driving instead.
finding a flight was... interesting. I had the choice of arriving after the party started (in some cases by 4 or 5 hours) or getting into town in the very early morning (as in, just after midnight...)
so, uh... anyone want to help entertain me for the 9 or 10 hours until I can check in (and take a nap!)?
We can entertain you. Turns out we found a flight, but we will be in Orlando by 11:30 on the 9th. So were going to need entertainment for about 12 hours. lol
Glad we not driving...... 27 hours on the road there and back did not sound like much fun.
hooray! I was envisioning 10 hours spent sitting around, twiddling my thumbs, which is not nearly as entertaining as it sounds...
Hope everyone is having better luck than me....
The ticket prices are over double last year, and a ton less flexibility.
Any hints?
we called and complained and we got ours for the same price but I was wrong about the Delta flight. we are fling on AirTran
If ya can try to go to the airlines directley online... don't use travelocity and such they are a ripoff. I always try to book with Jetblue and Southwest the day they become available... ya get the best rates.
I hear ya skully. People are having a hard time because of the huge rise in fuel costs - and man are the airlines taking advantage.
But, since some people are kinda flexible.. here are a few hints about getting those prices down.. or booking before prices go up.
1. 21 Days Advance Purchase! Esepcialy if you are flying out of a city that does not have off carriers are charters. Major airlines such as Delta, American, US, United, and Northwest require 21 days advance purchase to get the lower fares.
2. Friday through Monday are considered PEAK travel dates.
3. Tampa is 1 1/2 hours from Orlando. And there ARE some shuttles that run from Tampa to Orlando.
4. Fort Lauderdale and Miami are roughly 3 to 5 hours drive to Orlando, depending on Traffic. If you cant find a cheap enough ticket, it MAY be cheaper to fly into Miami or Ft Lauderdale, and then rent a car to Orlando.
5. Compare baggage costs BEFORE you book. You may save 100 on the ticket, but if the airline is over charging for their baggage costs, you may end up paying more. Note, you CAN ship your bags to the hotel if you are attending the precruise party. If you wish to do this, please email or call prior.
6. Check your routings. Some airline routes have "hidden city price drop" connections that can drive the costs down. Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New York are 4 such cities.
7. Do not be afraid of off carriers such as: Jetblue, Spirit, Southwest, USA3000, etc. If you dont know if your airport has an off carrier, go to the aiports OWN website. Most airports provide a website listing of all the carriers that operate out of that airport.
On a final note. Consider next years cruise and your current out of pocket expenses or payment hardships. Though not cheaper, it has been easier for some people to book the cruiselines airfare. They dont have to make a lump sum payment on it, and can pay it off over the year.
Though our 2010 goth cruise has not been released (but your already know its going to be during the first two weeks in October), we have already started taking a few advance resevations to give people even more time (2 years) to pay for it. 2010 will either be a new ship, or a new itinerary.
It's a date then.
So Denise....what the heck are we all going to do for 10 to 12 hours?!
I haven't been to Orlando for about seven years, not sure what there is to do.
lol! I haven't the faintest notion as I've never been to Orlando at all. I'm sure we'll figure something out =D
This will be my first visit to Orlando since 92'
at that point in time I was too young to enjoy the drinks around the world but I sure eyed it up.
hmmmm...drinks around the world, early start to the week...sounds good to me! =D
I have a friend who is flight attendant and I asked her when is the best time to get tickets. She said look in the morning on Tuesdays or Wensdays....that's when the airlines kinda have a "mini-sale" that they don't advertise.
She said she always books off of Cheaptickets.com, as she has found it to be the lower fares. (It's where I got mine..for $332 round trip, where as everything else was $500+)
It was way cheaper to fly to Tampa $119 there and $89 home to Chicago! +$55 for the car rental! Not too bad at all! And Southwest doesnt have any baggage fees!
I think that with the acquisitions of airline companies of smaller or struggling companies, you will see significantly more airlines reducing available planes and seats to condense into more packed planes. My flight has changed 8 times since I've booked. I expect it to change until the very day before. I had that happened when I was flying to a disaster for animal response. The night before the early morning flight, I was notified that my flight was change again. It is what it is in these economical times for the airlines. I had originally scheduled to have a shuttle, but changed my transportation to the airport to a friend whom was willing to help out and was flexible enough to meet the changing flight departure times. Good luck in getting that sorted for you.
