Goth Night at the Spa has been approved by Carnival - I know many of you have emailed/messaged me wanting to know what night it will be and what the package will entail.
Carnival Glory received a new Spa Manager this week - The former Spa Manager did not leave any information about this event - so It will take a couple of weeks to get the package tailored to us and a day assigned.
Does anyone have any special requests? This includes the guys to - Like a barbering session?
Examples include:
Nail Package
Hair Updo for the ball
Skin and Massage Package
etc..
They will of course, be taking the sun glow tanning bronzer off the list given the nature of the group!
oooooohhh....
The last Goth Spa skin refreshing/massage thing was awesome. I'd do that one again! =D
Will they have colors for nails and hair that we will want?
I agree ..the massages were great :)
Think we could bring drinkies into the steam room? They didn't say anything about the one I finished in the locker room... hmm
I dont think they have a rule against drinks in the steam room per se.
You can bring your own nail polish if you wish. They do have a wide selection.
I know they do not have extreme colors for hair.

It would be great if they had someone that was really openminded/good about dark/smokey makeup. Then I wouldn't have to do that myself. I wanna be super lazy on the cruise. Besides most likely I will be drunk most of the time *Grin*
For the official nite at the spa; love the massages.
If we could get this nite early in the cruise, we could all be uber relaxed right from the start.
oh hell yeah count us the fuck in! please advise if and when we need to pre book this :D
I'll send an email to the spa manager to see if they do gothic makeup/dark makeup.

any word on when we're going to be able to book spa events? i need a massage....
Generaly, you have to book them on the ship. Once in awhile, they will open it up 60 days prior to sailing on the Carnival Website. It doesnt happen very often.
This does NOT apply to our private spa event. You can sign up for that once the ship lets me know when it is.

Z,
How did things get booked last year? Was there an "interested" list before getting on the ship or was it decided during the cruise? Was the Goth Spa night just a "special event" for using the facility rooms or were there bookings for services too? And any discounts?
I know that MASSAGE and Facial are a definite need.
From what I remember, it was decided on the cruise. Z passed out flyers to the staterooms in our group with details of the Spa night's package. It was kind of a "marathon" or teaser of treatments. It started at midnight, and went until what, 2:30am? First, a facial with cleansers, toner, moisturizers? Then seaweed something or other in the steam room. Shower with all kinds of scrubs and lovely-smelling things, scalp massage in the whirl pool, shoulder massage... am I leaving out anything? I can't remember.. The cost of this 2-3 hours was offset with the purchase of one of the products used that night (So, $60 for the event + $1 muscle relaxer oil.. woot). Though it was really quick, like I said, a teaser, you still feel like jello afterward =) AND there is still time to drink and dance before the Ivory club closes.
You WON'T be disappointed
Discounts: Definitely visit the Spa deck on the first day after eating lunch on the Lido deck. They have special prices for booking treatments done that afternoon, and informative tours of the facility (Spa, Salon, and Fitness center). They also give away treatments at the raffle the first day. Pricing for stuff is also cheaper if you book your treatment while the ship is in port.
I hope this helps!
After reading through all the forum posts this year and last, you know too much by now to be a super newbie.
=) Can't wait to meet you DarkFae
I have two packages available for prebooking. One for guys. and one for gals. Ill post them up soon.

oooh!
I might book a massage.
I know they're pricey, but man could I use one.
Angela's not too much of a girly-girl but we'll see if she wants in.
