We might want to consider an earlier sitting for dinner this time if we are going to be having more than one concert night. I am not sure if this is the case. Just a thought, we can always get that late night pizza if we are hungry later.

You'll have to post those glitches, Antonius, in the regular forum of VR.. since you've emailed Cancer, Im going to remove it from the thread. Im trying to keep the forum as clean as possible this year.

I'm up for the earlier dinner as well. That way if we club at night I don't have to do it on a full belly of Prime Rib and Lobster. Plus if there is more than one concert at night we don't have to skip out on any dinners.

I have a couple of items to propose for this coming cruise. We can boost these up as we get closer.

1. First formal night = Kilts for all the dudes! I think after looking at the photos of this last cruise, we could organize a vangard of skirts! Really get heads turning.

2. Create a "first time Goth cruise guide" I was surprised on how many folks were first timers and were not aware of many of the things available, like knowing that room service was free, buying a bottle of wine was more economical than separate drinks, you can order whatever and as much of the food you want at dinner, etc.

I am sure more will come to mind later...

Number 1 is up to everyone going.


Number 2, Im currently working on one right now. It will go out with the cruise tickets along with the Goth Cruise Onboard Itinerary.

Our dinner time is actualy determined by the time slots that Carnival approves us for as far as Concerts and private events.

::Nods:: OooOooOoooOOO So up For the kilt thing! WOuld love to see that. And yeah the hints would have been great it wasnt until half way through the cruise we discovered the whole dinner thing, TOny about had a heart attack when he discovered he could go "Cow Crazy".

Totally off the subject... are there any Larpers on our cruise next year? Tony and I were wondering if we were the only ones?

I USED to run a LARP event during the gothic cruise.. but the interest was so low, we did away with it. It was based on VTM

LARP = Live-Action Role Playing. Oooh, but not sure on the other one. We don't do it, though. (Sorry Merc!)

Crystal.. your like the 100th person that has asked me to do it every 6 months.

Right now.. All Genre Travel is currently working on their next annual project.. which would sail at about 6 months prior to the goth cruise. However, our coordination with the cruise lines is not finished. Our first cruise may run in 2009 which would be a test pilot. It will NOT be a gothic cruise.. but another music genre.

What will the genre be?

Unfornuately yes. Truly.. I want to avoid my theme'd cruises from being mimiced again by someone else. I put alot of hard work into them.

But I promise.. as soon as the ink is set to the paper with the bands and the cruise line.. I will let everyone know.

That sounds like a great idea. I personally wouldn't know how I would have enough time and money that I could accumulate at work to attend though. I think that I would be interested in a VR Gathering in New Orleans to meet others if I could get more time off just to see who shows up and how it feels. I would be interested in seeing how much progress has transpired in New Orleans after my 9 months with animal rescue after Hurricane Katrina years ago. Alas, not enough finances or accumulated time at work.

That is WRONG. Right now resident aliens do not need a passport just a birth certificate.. however.. by the summer the US Government will require that EVERYONE will need a passport.

I mean this. if you do NOT have a passport by October.. YOU WILL NOT BE GOING.

If the Government requires this at to a late a notice.. and you dont have a passport... this will be YOUR fault. All Genre Travel will NOT be held liable if you do not have a passport and get denied boarding.

I had originally planned on doing WGT in Germany last year, and then the cruise. I had to skip it due to my duties as a student instructor (finances too, boy did the dollar take a shit internationally). I thought I'd lost the bugger without getting to ever use it, but of all things it fell inside the casing on my dresser.

Passports aren't that hard to get, RA or otherwise, but it takes TIME. Be sure to get yoru paperwork in order plenty early.

Bedlam and I are starting a rpg group here in phx, so hell yeah we will play on cruise! We are going to be playing demon here...but its all good...seeing as how i have never rpg'd before hopfully i wont be too lame by oct LOL

Cruise critic has a thread called "Roll Call" and it goes by cruiseline/ship name. There is one started for our cruise by a non-goth that happened to be on last years cruise and is gonna be on it again...It is a pretty good read to say the least. But you must join to view it and post.

I know what you mean. I'm an Animal Control Officer in a uniform with a badge. I can't do anything fun. I just dyed my hair red, but will have to dye it back to some mundane color for work. I can't have piercings on my face anymore and have developed a keloid on my lip. I can't cut my hair as I want because I need to return to a professional look at the end of the cruise. ACK! Responsible can really hinder expressionism!

yeah.. i only was able to do the tips of my hair.. i worked my last shift today and had it up in a clip which thankfully hid it nicely. if i can continue to keep it like that, i sure as hell will, but plan a) is to simply get a haircut when i get home and its back to the mundane world.

brent just dyed his hair black with silver stripes and it looks wonderful. I was only able to dye my hair a couple of shades darker because of work. Working in a mundane world sucks.
