The original Hordak was cool, but this guy is wicked. A macroscopic view of the NECA Hordak from the first series of the mini-statues. This updated Hordak is a more vampiric evolution of the character. The head is more elongated, the ears more prominent. The face is sunken and more cadaverous. The red eyes are reduced to slivers by the outcropping, spike-knob brow. His diamond-shaped, red-rimmed collar and scalloped cape are also more pronounced, intensifying the vampire look. Hordak is wearing a general expression of contempt, probably his most casual portrait look, his disgust fueled by his loathing for anything indigenous to Eternia. In the old episodes of She-Ra, Hordak was scarcely able to keep his empire intact against what amounted to a small slumber party of cheerleaders, but on the new MOTU show, it took King Greyskull himself to banish Hordak from Eternia. Big improvement. Previously, this super-cool mini-bust was only available as a paint-variant con exclusive, but now, Hordak has pulled a few strings, called in a favor or two with Horde Prime, and has made his demonic likeness available to all of his cherished fans.
