Alexander Dmitrievich Litovchenko (1835 - 1890)
In Greek mythology, Charon or Kharon (pronounced /ˈke(ə)rən/; Greek Χάρων) was the ferryman of Hades who carried souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead. A coin to pay Charon for passage, usually an obolus or danake, was sometimes placed in or on the mouth of a dead person.[1] Some authors say that those who could not pay the fee, or those whose bodies were left unburied, had to wander the shores for one hundred years. In the catabasis mytheme, heroes — such as Heracles, Orpheus, Aeneas, Dionysus and Psyche — journey to the underworld and return, still alive, conveyed by the boat of Charon.

I am a huge fan of the roleplaying game company White Wolf Game Studios, particularly their World of Darkness settings. I have been a member of the Camarilla fan club since June 1998 and have enjoyed many opportunities for storytelling and coordination activities along the way. Some of my "achievements" include being a local chapter storyteller and coordinator for two chapters in San Diego, being an assistant storyteller for the Southwest region in Wraith and Mortals, being an assistant storyteller for Wraith at International Camarilla Conclave (ICC) 1999 in Portland, Oregon, and being the lead storyteller for Wraith at ICC 2001 in Burbank, California.
