Turn off that light,
its too damn bright!
Something in here doesn’t feel right
There’s someone in here with me
Lurking just out of my sight…
They pretend to exist These things persist
Confusing the darkness
I wish I could close my eyes And forget…
Nightclaws Rapping against the walls
Hearing noises sending chills
They want me to fear them…
Echoing footsteps clamor
beyond the door Mom and dad are asleep,
so who could it be?
Shadows teasing this imaginative mind
Searching for reasons to creep into my room as fear… They’re inanimate objects Laying on top of piles Tricks treat the dimness I wonder where I can escape And hide…
Nightclaws Tapping the bed rails Nearing closer than ever Clever are these devils…
When morning comes They’ll disappear…
