So at last, we will be able to view just how touched up, and how true/honest photgraphs really are. This will add an interesting feature to view photographs which have been taken in the past, present and future :) I always wondered how some people

made themselves look to be so glamarous..but now they may not be able to get away with that lie any more.

Good job!

I remember seeing those photos in another article. It's their own (the artist's/photographer/photo manipulator) body image issues (understanding of what's 'good') that is off kilter. Even fellow photographers look at those shots and shake their heads.

Well, yes.. Manipulating photographs by airbrushing is deceitful, and just as bad as telling a fib. Thing is, some young healthy girls look at photographs like that and then end up dieting and developing anoxeria. In that respect, I am happy there is a call to regulate that industry as it was really just getting out of hand.

The end of November already. The ski slopes have no snow, and it is officially winter time. It was 13C here today and that is so unheard of for the beginning of December. Bizzare.

This weekend, I get to put up the Christmas decorations. That will be so neat, and my brother and his wife will be home on Friday albeit it jetlagged after coming back from the west in America.

I have loads to write about.. I am bubbling with excitement what with the holidays coming up. Strange getting so excited about having two weeks off, but I am! Just time to be me.. chill and be happy :)

My brother and his wife will be home soon from Las Vegas, and I really can't wait to see him as it has been a while! I also can't wait to see all the photographs of Las Vegas as it is one place that I have always wanted to travel to but have not yet achieved. I must mark that down on my to do list within the next few years!

This morning hails the start of a new project for me as I will be advising in the health care section, with my first attendance at the board members meeting this morning. Am I nervous? Well hell, yes I am.. Hence being up so early. Hubby, says I will ace it..but well we will see! It is going to be a challenging time for me working in the health sector but it is time to put into practise my access auditing skills, and exams that I gained from the University of Ulster. Pay is good.. Heh.

I'd like a new frock. One that is made out of leather, tie n' dye, lace and lacing... Hmm, I may have to draw the design if I can't find it in the hunt. If you see any like it that fits the bill let me know. Prefer to have it in brown leather than black, as black is a bit harsh for my Irish pale skin and reddish hair.

You mean there is only ONE difference!!!!!

Are ya sure?????

because I can count several!

And that's not counting the physical stuff!

Sensory: Men are visual (they get turned on by what they see). Women are auditory (they are turned on by what they hear, especially if they hear he has $$$$$$$)

Communication: Woman like to talk..... all the time. They will talk about anything, everything and NOTHING. They will even talk in their sleep. Men listen or at least pretend to... mostly because Women won't let us talk!

Sexually: Women need to focus on what they are doing... otherwise they never get to "finish" and that's because they are thinking of everything else but the sex they are having. Men need to focus on anything BUT the sex they are having.... or else we will finish early. Why do you think all Men are staring at the ceiling thinking about how many coats of paint it needs, but once we look down..... oops.

And that's just what I could think up NOW!!!!

Give me a week... I'll have more!

We are going down to Dublin again this weekend, and we have booked into the Gate theatre to see, "Little Women". As some of you are aware I adore the classics, and that is possibly why I found Rebecca Vaughan's performance in Austen's woman tedious as she over portrayed some of the characters in Austen's novels.

We didnt get our first choice of hotels this time around, but a new hotel will be something different, and besides they have a spa - grins- I feel a new set of gel nails growing on, and a yummy back, shoulder and head massage. :)

I found the performance of Rebecca Vaughan in the stage production of "Austen's Woman" so tedious that I almost fell asleep. How droll it must of been to be a woman in the 19th century. The only thing that amazed me was her memory and ability to talk so long!

All about fairies.. I wrote this some time back and put it in the forum in reponse to a person's quips there. I re-read it recently and it made me laugh some.. Enjoy :)

C****ye, it is ignorantly perceived that us Irish live in straw houses, eat fairy cakes, travel to work on horseback, and have no electricity but where on earth did you hear your “faq” about faeries from? Quote your Source. Beliefs about faeries require anecdotal evidence but they find their own jesters such as you spreading colourful ideas. I also find it offensive (but funny) that the Irish have been retarded by you into a fairy believing nation, while quite on the contrary we adore fairy stories just as much as any other nation in the world but in such a fanciful world we would believe in Santa Claus too!

I am wondering also under your own beliefs why there is not daily readings of Brothers Grimm in school, or why the Arch-Goblin of Dublin doesn’t hold Holy Mass on the official Fairy Rings. Or why there is a science such as aeronautics when the administrations of fairies could just spread their wings. Oh woe, how easy life could be if I had a wand.

The Heart of the Woman

O WHAT to me the little room

That was brimmed up with prayer and rest;

He bade me out into the gloom,

And my breast lies upon his breast.

O what to me my mother's care,

The house where I was safe and warm;

The shadowy blossom of my hair

Will hide us from the bitter storm.

O hiding hair and dewy eyes,

I am no more with life and death,

My heart upon his warm heart lies,

My breath is mixed into his breath.

I found this wonderful grey blouse with a retro fashion design which would look fabulous with my business suits. So, I bought it from the shop.. took my size hanger to the counter in the store, and paid the cashier. Took my new blouse home from Dublin and thought I would "save" it up for a special business occassion since it applied a real cool trendy but business retro look :)

Well... the big day came and I took it out of its wrapping and darnit I couldn't fit into it! I tried, and tried but to no avail I could not get it on. What on earth is going on?? eek, I can't have put that much weight on, I thought. Never to be beat, I tried again *tweak* *squeak* and again.. all shapes trying to twist in lol. Didn't work :(

Then I had a "smart" idea heh.. I'd look at the label! Some turd had put a size 6 shirt on a size 10 hanger! grrrrrr!! but, but... I DO have a sunny side up to this story, it gives me an excuse to get back to Dublin again to change it! hehehee but I will know next time to check the merchandise label before purchase lol!

I really thought that the movie, "Contagion" was going to offer something different than the usual "take virus, die, get vaccine quickly" movies, but gosh was I in for a dissapointment. By the time the movie flatlined after an over the top story, I was ready to leave the cinema. I would rate it a B, but wouldn't recommend it as it is just the same ole tired storyline.

Boo! It's a pretty good concept, always done in a shockingly bad way which has made it by default, a pretty generic movie type that people don't want to see anymore.

There's always one person that's immune, there's always heart break and there's always a cure that's made at the very end, when half the population has been decimated.

I was gonna go see it.

Bleagh.
