this is really cool, I can dictate my journal entry instead of typing it! new technology rocks!
I am feeling a little under the radar today.. I have been to the dentist today for crown preparation. Right now, I am so full of drugs and anaesthetic. The iv given didn't agree with me, ..soo sleepy. Twilight Zoning here..
Today was a beautiful, sunny and hot day so we went for a drive into the Sperrin mountains were we went for a walk in one of the woods. I was so totally amazed when I walked around a bend to behold this very old ivy leafed castle! I was nearly angry that ivy was allowed to grow so uncontrollably that it took the features of the castle walls away. I took some photos with my galaxy though, so I will be sure to upload them when I get some time x

Can't wait to see them, sounds like a lovely way to spend an afternoon..
It's a shame the new honour system appears to be an avenue for the abuse of fellow members. It has happened to quite a few of the members now, including staff who volunteer their time here, and I think it has brought a sinister element to Vampire Rave that we could all do without. Since when did the Rave ever allow the abuse and harassment of staff members who carry the site, and give up their own time voluntary to do so? Since when did members leave their moral conscience to abuse and demean their fellow colleagues? I think the system has gone beyond its intended use, and should be reviewed to disallow abuse and harassment for all.
Game of Thrones is being filmed today at the, "Titantic Quarters" in Belfast, and here I am, missing it! Took a commiseration walk down at their other location near my house today though. That made me feel a bit better.
I am wondering if I will make it.. nine weeks to go before I leave for Italy, and fourteen pounds to go. My body and mind is screaming for carbs.. it is so darn hard to stick to protein for so many days in a row!
You must remember that out of all the active members there are in this site, you are in a minority group, and probably in real life too considering you spend so much time here. There is probably a reason for this, and I figure it must really suck to be you. Your complaints and constant whinging/bitching can be a source of amusement, but even that gets tiring and old
Keep on bitching though, as it shows your class to the users here and, this is probably as far as you will get in life, because successful people and business outside of here, really don't want.. or indeed have no need for your kind. Get real.

O.o
lol yea, I am normally so placid that I can see how a journal entry like this may surprise!
>>
I have never walked out of a cinema show before, but that was before I went to see "The Devil Inside"
I kept getting the feeling the movie was never going to start before I realised it was half way over. It was disgraceful, cheap and even had American speaking actors for Italian roles. Cheap, yea.. we did the right thing by leaving. Shame on the production company.
Not one of my better reviews, I know.. but I am in rush to get to spin class. My arm are aching after all the boxing I did yesterday, so now it is my legs that is going to get it!
It's sad I know, but I missed out being in Dublin today. I forgot to book the hotel last year as they are fully booked from the year before, and in some cases longer than that! The carnival down there is massive today, and there will be a huge festival and the place full of street parties! and music and good craic!
I won't be drinking today though.. I got holidays in nine weeks time lol, and that sugar goes straight to da hips!

Did you know this? Americans claiming Irish ancestry number more than 34.7 million. That is more than seven times the population in Ireland! OMG! hilarious heh that explains why America has had so many Irish Presidents! I wonder if Barack Obama will be dancing to his fiddle on the 17th.. pause for thought.
Anyway courtesy of, "The Record Live" www.recordlive.com here is some real faqs about our St. Patrick's day.
The Feast Day of St. Patrick is celebrated on March 17 which falls on Saturday this year. It is believed to be the day St. Patrick died in the fifth century. The patron saint of Ireland is not originally from Ireland. He was kidnapped from Great Britain when he was 16 and forced into slavery on the Emerald Isle. He escaped and made his way home, only to return to Ireland later.
St. Patrick was called by God to convert the ancient people to Christianity. He reportedly baptized over 12,000 people in a single day near Killala and consecrated more than 350 bishops. The tale of St. Patrick banishing all the snakes from Ireland is an untrue fable. There were never any snakes in Ireland.
Shamrocks are not only the national flowers of Ireland, but are associated with St. Patrick because he used the three petal leaves of the shamrock to explain the Trinity: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The “wearing of the green” came about during a time when Ireland was being suppressed by England. They were denied their church and weren’t allowed to speak their own language. As a sign of solidarity and to express their true beliefs, they would wear shamrocks in their lapels. That later led to wearing green clothing, buttons, hats and such on St. Patrick’s Day.
Although St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, most of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations started in the United States, the home to over 100 St. Patrick’s Day parades.
The first parade was held in New York in 1762 by Irish soldiers in the English Military. New York is not only home to the oldest, but also the largest parade with over 150,000 participants marching just over two miles. Over 150 bands participate in the event, but no vehicles or floats are allowed in the parade, which lasts five to six hours.
The Chicago River is turned green for a few hours on March 17 every year using 40 pounds of green dye. Houston held its 53rd St. Patrick’s Day Parade last week on March 10.
Americans claiming Irish ancestry number more than 34.7 million. That is more than seven times the population in Ireland.
Over 83 percent of the American population says they wear green on St. Paddy’s Day. More than eight million St. Patrick’s Day cards are exchanged annually in the U.S.; while spending for St. Patrick’s Day tops $4 billion each year.
In Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day was considered strictly a religious holiday and pubs by law had to remain closed that day until 1970.
In 1995, Ireland began using St. Patrick’s Day to promote tourism in the country. Today, Ireland boasts a multi-day St. Patrick’s Festival in Dublin filled with parades, concerts, outdoor theater productions and fireworks.

Yes, there's been a serious migration here over time, and lots more room to breed. I have Irish blood, not as much as everything else- but it's there.
And the US celebrates it rather you are Irish or not. It's on our calendar, our school classrooms are decorated, people are sure to wear green... and I've been told it is far more celebrated here than in Ireland.
There are big parades in New Orleans similar to Mardi Gras, where green and white beads are thrown from the floats, but more so, people throw cabbages and root vegetables. It's not 'Irish', It is New Orleans :) We have a HUGE Irish influence here as were are a major port city that many Irish came to during the famine.
Wowies, damn! I feel left out of the celebrations, and I will have to get to America for the occasion one of these fine years!!! We get the day off work .. it falls on Monday this year in lieu of Saturday :) but that's about all and I shall miss being in Dublin on Saturday. Sure, hope you guys have lots of fun!
Oddly enough I've got a great story for ya that is better told verbally than in words. To add, My great Great Grandmother is from the Isle Of Man, and Great great grandfather from Sterling Scotland, we can't say for sure we have Irish, but we sure make one hell of a Scottish Short bread lol.
All about the $$$$$$$$
Watch out, watch out!! those green critters with the big floppy hats will soon be about!

:) And we should drink a wee glass of whiskey that day.
:D YAY!
Have a good one ... when it comes.
I really enjoyed, "The Raven" at the cinema tonight and the stanza below really sum's it up. Edgar Allan Poe, is one of my favourite poets, and what a cracking performance by John Cusack. I would highly recommend this movie :)

We'll have to put that on our go-see list..
For some reason I just don't fancy it, but I may now!
Hrrmp... Well, you know what? I have just invented the Irish contraceptive pill, it is three and half ton , and fits behind the bedroom door >>

???LOL!!!
Well, it's better than the rhythm method as I can't always find a Caileach band!!
o.O that sure piques the curiosity lol
Ummmm... I find one slight tiny flaw....
what if you and your partner are both on the same side of the "pill"????
Ummm yeah.
:P
Heh, burped ..it was wine last night!
Patent it :-p
Yesterday was my birthday but I gave up most of my day off, and birthday to be with a sick relative in hospital. Birthday's mean little when someone you care for is ill. There is plenty of time for being jovial later :) I did receive a beautiful pair of stud earrings from hubby in the shape of a 'kiss X' studded with wee baby diamonds though. Nope, you can't count the carats .. just the diamond dust blobs but they are so lovely, and it is just about the cutest piece of jewellry he has bought me :)
(well besides, my engagement, wedding and eternity rings that is lol)
When we got home from Belfast, we went for dinner and then to the cinema. We seen some Sci-Fi movie that was just okay.. I believe the name was, "John Carter" but there you go I was so impressed with the movie that I have already forgotten what the story line was!
I had two glasses of Pinot Grigo.. that was nice! :)

Thank you x
So like you to put others before yourself, always thinking of them. You are an amazing woman Pam, we love ya, hope next years is even better ♥ .
Nearly every journal entry you make, you whinge. You whinge mostly about other people, and how you feel they are inadequate to your own 'supremacy?' Why can't you just be more subtle and patient with people, and then you may make more progress and achieve more in your own life.
I like to read your now very seldom, 'happy' journal entries, but your constant whining is getting to be a bit of a drag.
COMMENTS
Wa's a whinge?
I have issues being patient with people :( so I can relate.
whinge/(h)winj/
Verb: Complain persistently and in a peevish or irritating way.
Noun:
An act of complaining in such a way.
Synonyms:
whine
Thank You! I had never heard that before! Now you gave me something new to write about.
Thank You again.
:) Moonkissed, love your journal
Thanks!
Well I whine cause some peoples get on my nerves and I don't wants to be subtle or patient with people then I would never get to see you come visit at all. I 'm un happy cause you don't like me anymore ....and... and..... I"M NOT HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! (lol) enough Whinging for ya?hehehehehe
Can only smile!
but,but,but...I have to!
lol DG.. not you either :p
Just to think I turned in time in the Carribbean blue for this gray and dank. I can be a real fool at times duh :( Roll on Thursday when I give myself a wee treat down at the spa. Still when they come home on Sunday, I know I will be green with envy!

If only to have the money on tap to choose.
I wish too.. But man I need to work! Unlike my Mum and sister!
Put it like this. I was frustrated when the movie came to an end. I wanted to see more. However, I do sense a Safe House 2, but then if there is, Denzil didn't really die.
Not one of the best movies he has appeared in, but still there were quite a few shocking scenes that make one jump!
COMMENTS
I fancy that one too.
I'm not much of a Denzel fan.
This doesn't make sense. Some people here are of the opinion that if you leave negative honour for someone along with a derogatory comment that you are somehow breaking the law and discriminating against the person. So, my argument is how that can be when the person is not using their real name and can't be identified against a incognito nickname anyway? Now, if you were using your real name on here that could be a different story maybe...
Sorry if there is any touch key errors in this entry but I am rush to get to the cinema to see, Safe House on time. No glasses on lol!
COMMENTS
I have both received and left such lol. I look it at like this... somewhere along the way in life you are going to run into someone who will have something negative to say about you or to you for whatever reason, could be they do not even know you and are just looking to get a rise out of you. Either suck it up and let it roll off or become horribly offended and give them the reaction they are looking for. I also feel it necessary to say certain things to certain people so... I suppose I am of the opinion that it should be allowed.
Enjoy the film, and don't forget your glasses!!
