My other Company is performing an amazing 600 times better than the safety company so I reckon no one is interested in safety during the recession. I had anticipated this, and I know that was one of the reasons why I broke into auditing knowing that organisations needed accreditation for their management systems in order to tender successfully for work. It's a shame though after all the work I did do in the safety field..however remaining focused in auditing and the environment is the way forward at this moment in time.
Sometimes, I wish I just started a beauty salon as maintaining all this CPD can be a pain. Tired of exams now, and hoping the two I did in June will be the end for a while!

With the way things are going in Europe right now I think the recession is about to get worse starting with the housing market.
I hope you manage to surf this wave well ;-)

I believe you are right. It's trying to stay afloat until these awful times are over as so many companies have gone to the wall. In order to improve things for safety this financial year I have to look at tendering on a wider geographical scale, and that's a pain.
