In the meantime, it is off to Belfast at 6.50 am tomorrow to take a class of twenty students. Bleh, I loathe the drive to Belfast during rush hour.

It started today, and I love it every year! Is anyone else tennis players here? Whenever I can if I am not too tired I get out there and play it. I even invested in a pair of good tennis raquets, but like that doesn't help with hitting the ball back heh!

Acolyte.

For those that don't know.. the position of Acolyte is just not something you can, "get" but rather one you earn by having the knowledge and position which is "approved and given" by Cancer. Anyone who says it is just something you can "get" deserves a good kick up their stupid ass!

The test is most certainly earned. All those who have taken the test and attained the privilege of being an Alcolyte have proven that they are worthy of carrying the title. Any Alcolyte who abuses their status, needs to be reminded, that it is a privilege and not a right, and fortunately I haven't found one of those types yet. I raise a toast to your wise words. :)

Yes it is a privilidge, not a right, anyone who throws their weight around because they have the title, should have it revoked.

Last night was party time.. and I am suffering today. Bleh, J was so much fun but a freeking party on a work night??? ...OMG! I went to work with so little sleep, which was just the wrong thing for todays class as it was a room full of malajusted halfwit freekin retard kids, who were intent to wreck havoc on a day out from school!

On a different note...

You would think I would be used to that by now from my experiences on here, and the constant journal whinging one or two do. Frig, they just must have no life at all...that and probably the fact nobody likes them, so they sit in their lonely little apartment with nothing but a virtual life to measure their success with. Sad really.

We are off to a wedding party this evening. Not

to sure how I feel about that right now.....Oh,

well I guess it is time to hit the shower and put on the happy face. Yes, maybe that will give me more enthusiam. I'd see through it if they were friends as then I would be happy about going, but sometimes for business purposes you just have to do things that you don't really want to.

I am wondering if a hour attendance will be enough to grace myself.... We'll see.

Thinking Outside of the Box

11:21 Jun 08 2008
Times Read: 1,864

Someone said to me recently, that I think differently from others. Well, I like thinking outside of the box as it is refreshing to look at a subject from a different prospective. This in my mind, is creative and smart thinking, and well to be honest; I like my novel and unconventional thinking. So, I am not unduly concerned about the view of the other person.

In solution to the quiz below you must think outside of the box to arrive at the answer, and here it is:

Photobucket

Below is another wee scenario that I thought was cool beans in terms of lateral thinking..

FRIDGES AND ANIMALS…?!?!
by

Rob Pardon , 17 December 2007 @

QUESTION 1: How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

ANSWER: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close the door

(This question tests if you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way)

QUESTION 2 How would they put an elephant into a refrigerator?

WRONG ANSWER: Open the refrigerator then put in the elephant and close the door

CORRECT ANSWER: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door

(This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of their actions)

QUESTION 3: The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend except one. Which animal did not attend?

ANSWER: The elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator

(This tests your memory)

OK, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your abilities...

QUESTION 4: There is a river they must cross but it is inhabited by crocodiles. How would they manage it?

ANSWER: They swim across. All the crocodiles are attending the animal conference

(This tests whether if you learn quickly from your mistakes)

Keeps the mind in shape, and their fun.

Unconventional thinking is a good thing.

This week has been awesome *smiles* I clinched a deal for two new contracts!! and the good thing is the clients are waiting until the sale goes through as they would prefer to work directly with me :) This all good.

Fascinating weekend lays ahead.. Susan got a new bar-b-que set so that is rostered for Saturday night..it should be a hoot! and well Sunday being family day about twenty of us are off for lunch together.

But altogether, I can't wait for next week.. Galway is going to be a BLAST! It always is, I love that place, winter spring or summer, rain or in sunshine :) I could dance at the thought of it. Achill is really enchanting :) If any of you Yanks get over here make sure to stop in there!!

The Lake Isle of Innisfree - William Butler Yeats.

21:48 Jun 05 2008
Times Read: 1,978

Poetry, Poetry, Poetry! I cannot get enough of it..when I am relaxing I am always on the internet reading the classics, and here is another one of my favourite poems by Yeats..

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,

And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;

Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honey bee,

And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,

Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;

There midnight 's all a-glimmer, and noon a purple glow,

And evening full of the linnet's wings.

Linnets after a bath

I will arise and go now, for always night and day

I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;

While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,

I hear it in the deep heart's core.

Reality Check.

21:51 Jun 04 2008
Times Read: 2,051

I am fortunate that my success in life is tangible. This makes me happy, my friends happy, my family happy, and my business happy.

I am fortunate that I have food on my plate, and clothes on my back as it teaches me humility when I am faced with the starving of children and families around the world.

I am proud that I don't laugh at others misfortunes or poke fun at them. I am proud of my parents who taught me good from bad and I am proud of what they made me, and who I am.

I don’t have to justify what I say to others as words speak for themselves and, because I believe in my own integrity knowing it to be fair. I don’t have to justify my behaviour to others because I know it to be beyond reproach but I do realise that some people have difficulty in understanding the honesty of my words.

I have never been in the Forces, but my family have, and we have a long list of family members with Honours and it is from those that I learned the meaning of integrity, and the success of my life bears homage to this fact. They also taught me respect for others, value for their contributions, and to listen to voices of others. My family were leaders in the military services and could not of been so without these attributes.

It is all that I have been taught in life, that has brought me commendations from my friends, from the charity I chair, from my peers, my marriage and from the highest of authority in the land. Yes, I feel snug in the knowledge that I have success where it matters the most.

Oh, yea don’t bother asking me what this is about, I am just using my journal to vent. It is a reality check after all.

My weekend in Donegal - Ireland

On my travels this weekend we stumbled upon this poor critter at Smugglers Creek :

Photobucket

*SLURPS!* He was nice! man, I am so wicked.. I do feel guilty, but he was very tasty with Lobster Thermador Sauce! *guilt pang*

The Festival was a surprise..my nephew knows I adore Oasis, (Liam Gallagher) music and he was inspired by Rory, so it rocked to be at his tribute! I have made some recordings of a lot of the bands that played.

Ballyshannon was completely taken over by artists, unknown and famous alike who went around from bar to bar and played over the weekend. I was in great company! and here is a photo of a wee man who had the inspiration to be there, *coffs* well in spirit anyway!

Photobucket

Anyway recognise this person? ;)

Photobucket

The surf was as flat as the head on a dead pint of guinness.. I have changed my mind about mind wanting to try that, as I think those body boards look kinda fun!!

Anyway this is part of the scenery we passed on the way down to the bay :)

Photobucket

I have more photos and videos of a great weekend, and guess what! I get to go to Galway next week and visit Achill Sound!!!!!! I can't wait :)
