Doh, I know mathematics is not my strongest subject but since when was 4 a half of 60?!!!!! I was told recently it was.
You know what would be nice? Heat.. sun, that would radiate inside of me kindling my heart into a warm glow of happiness.
In the meantime, it is off to Belfast at 6.50 am tomorrow to take a class of twenty students. Bleh, I loathe the drive to Belfast during rush hour.
It started today, and I love it every year! Is anyone else tennis players here? Whenever I can if I am not too tired I get out there and play it. I even invested in a pair of good tennis raquets, but like that doesn't help with hitting the ball back heh!
COMMENTS
I don't like to watch the sport, it's so boring. But I do play it when I can. ;)
Long legs- short skirts. I'd say tennis is a spectacular sport!
We both suck at tennis but Meepers sister is actually a ranked tennis player.
Wow Seven! That is great.. I must tweek it out of Meepr which one it is! heh
Here is another photograph from the Rory Gallagher Concert, and a photograph of the Church that the poet Yeat's used to attend in Ireland. His grave is just outside.

Fresh and natural and whimsical
Good natured that is what I was thinking of
ah pam looking as beautiful as always glad im finally getting to talk to you
Aawww, thanks guys. I'm looking a bit chubby of cheek lol, it's the medication I am on having that effect but the good news is after my next CT scan I should be able to get off them! :)
What I like most about this photograph is the light across my face, it's all natural light giving off that rosy/golden glow :)
I agree, the light in your pic is great..very nice.
:) Always lovely. IS that a pipe organ?
Yes Rat, it is a pipe organ..lovely isn't it? I have to get some photos up of Yeats grave and Church. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later!
Well that is just gorgeous.
..The castle too. ;)
Love your smile, and the pictures are just amazing.
=)
What great pics Emerald!
I love organs!
Show us the grave of master Yeats too!
He`s one of your heroes and I adore him!
And come here soon!
:P
For those that don't know.. the position of Acolyte is just not something you can, "get" but rather one you earn by having the knowledge and position which is "approved and given" by Cancer. Anyone who says it is just something you can "get" deserves a good kick up their stupid ass!
COMMENTS
Hear hear! Or is it here here!
... Anyway ... too true.
Yeah sockpuppet was not of good character to become an acolyte.
Oh, really I am so surprised!! haha NOT. Are you related to sockpuppet borked?
Some of us get to be Acolyte a lot quicker than others 'tho!
Well said Emmy. Couldn't agree more!
The test is most certainly earned. All those who have taken the test and attained the privilege of being an Alcolyte have proven that they are worthy of carrying the title. Any Alcolyte who abuses their status, needs to be reminded, that it is a privilege and not a right, and fortunately I haven't found one of those types yet. I raise a toast to your wise words. :)
I passed the test first time.
95% if I remember rightly.
Yes it is a privilidge, not a right, anyone who throws their weight around because they have the title, should have it revoked.
Last night was party time.. and I am suffering today. Bleh, J was so much fun but a freeking party on a work night??? ...OMG! I went to work with so little sleep, which was just the wrong thing for todays class as it was a room full of malajusted halfwit freekin retard kids, who were intent to wreck havoc on a day out from school!
On a different note...
You would think I would be used to that by now from my experiences on here, and the constant journal whinging one or two do. Frig, they just must have no life at all...that and probably the fact nobody likes them, so they sit in their lonely little apartment with nothing but a virtual life to measure their success with. Sad really.
COMMENTS
Yep...partying on a weekday just shouldn't be allowed. Been there done that and boy is it hell!
What's your hangover remedy?
I must say that I am extrenely dissapointed by someone on here, as I expected better of him and had every reason for doing so.
We are off to a wedding party this evening. Not
to sure how I feel about that right now.....Oh,
well I guess it is time to hit the shower and put on the happy face. Yes, maybe that will give me more enthusiam. I'd see through it if they were friends as then I would be happy about going, but sometimes for business purposes you just have to do things that you don't really want to.
I am wondering if a hour attendance will be enough to grace myself.... We'll see.
COMMENTS
Been there, done that.
I just watch people and puts words in my head that they are saying. Like when the preacher stands, waiting for the bride as the music plays... think of him humming "Hells Bells" by ACDC. Puts a smile on my face.
What's not to like about weddings ?....cake, booze ? Meh > some people just can't appreciate the good things in life lmao
Well, I got home a few hours ago. Innisfree, Connemara and Achill were so beautiful that I cried when it was time to leave. I so, did not want to come back home. No country has ever caused that emotion in me before.. not even Paris. Well, photos soon! It was a six hour drive home..minus guinness stops of course :)
Someone said to me recently, that I think differently from others. Well, I like thinking outside of the box as it is refreshing to look at a subject from a different prospective. This in my mind, is creative and smart thinking, and well to be honest; I like my novel and unconventional thinking. So, I am not unduly concerned about the view of the other person.
In solution to the quiz below you must think outside of the box to arrive at the answer, and here it is:
COMMENTS
My head hurts lol
Answering those is harder than lifting the oxcart out of the ditch :p
Fascinating, and yet so simple to those who can figure it out! Me not being one of them lol..
Reminds me of those puzzle things they have at a resteraunt here called the Cracker Barrel. You must remove pegs by jumping them until there are only a few left.I can get it to one,but normally end up with two.
Keeps the mind in shape, and their fun.
Unconventional thinking is a good thing.
I would have struck out if the answers were not posted lol
I'm just different I suppose..the easiest and most obvious thing I seem to fail in, whereas sometimes I amaze myself and others by seeing what is not so obvious. I don't know if this is a blessing or not 'tho..
Bummer....I failed..and it's a sad thing, because the answers were listed!
Teehee, no such thing as fail Selene.. thinking differently isn't necessarily a good thing :)

This week has been awesome *smiles* I clinched a deal for two new contracts!! and the good thing is the clients are waiting until the sale goes through as they would prefer to work directly with me :) This all good.
Fascinating weekend lays ahead.. Susan got a new bar-b-que set so that is rostered for Saturday night..it should be a hoot! and well Sunday being family day about twenty of us are off for lunch together.
But altogether, I can't wait for next week.. Galway is going to be a BLAST! It always is, I love that place, winter spring or summer, rain or in sunshine :) I could dance at the thought of it. Achill is really enchanting :) If any of you Yanks get over here make sure to stop in there!!

Poetry, Poetry, Poetry! I cannot get enough of it..when I am relaxing I am always on the internet reading the classics, and here is another one of my favourite poems by Yeats..
I am fortunate that my success in life is tangible. This makes me happy, my friends happy, my family happy, and my business happy.
I am fortunate that I have food on my plate, and clothes on my back as it teaches me humility when I am faced with the starving of children and families around the world.
I am proud that I don't laugh at others misfortunes or poke fun at them. I am proud of my parents who taught me good from bad and I am proud of what they made me, and who I am.
I don’t have to justify what I say to others as words speak for themselves and, because I believe in my own integrity knowing it to be fair. I don’t have to justify my behaviour to others because I know it to be beyond reproach but I do realise that some people have difficulty in understanding the honesty of my words.
I have never been in the Forces, but my family have, and we have a long list of family members with Honours and it is from those that I learned the meaning of integrity, and the success of my life bears homage to this fact. They also taught me respect for others, value for their contributions, and to listen to voices of others. My family were leaders in the military services and could not of been so without these attributes.
It is all that I have been taught in life, that has brought me commendations from my friends, from the charity I chair, from my peers, my marriage and from the highest of authority in the land. Yes, I feel snug in the knowledge that I have success where it matters the most.
Oh, yea don’t bother asking me what this is about, I am just using my journal to vent. It is a reality check after all.
COMMENTS
This same reality check would do a lot of us good. It's always good to be reminded that we are fortunate in all we have.
I'm fortunate to have such a wonderful person as a friend in you.
It's always a great thing to take a moment and consider the things we have to be thankful for! =)
ya'll can take the best wishes from me too. (Don't think there is anybody here with a lower authority in this land than me.)
Thankyou Sevenn and Selene :) It was lovely to come on this morning and find your messages there. I believe as long as we keep our focus on what is real, nothing else matters *hugs*
*Hugs*
=)
Very nice..you are fortunate indeed ,and one with integrity.
