I cant justify bad behaviour, for peoples mean behaviour no matter which way it is expressed. Stuff like that is what starts, "drama" on VR and by the very people who complain about it in the first place. Shame on you... for acting so disrepectively especially when you know you are in the wrong.
This is probably one of the reasons why I don't bother talking a lot to you.

Don't get involved with narrow minded people
Don't bother responding when it gets childish.

Today a young man lost his life because he was not paying attention to his own personal safety, and he was only 24 =( I had only spoke to him last week, and he was one of those good mannered, well brought person's. You couldn't of met a nicer young man.
He stepped out in front of an oncoming vehicle from the back of his work van, and died later in hospital. I am devastated for him and his family, and weep for them all, it is going to take me a while to get over this. I never knew him well, but he was adorable, and we are all shocked.
Ironically, he had his safety training booked with me along with the other men in his team for Monday. =(
Your thoughts are appreciated. ..I can't see how his family would ever get over this, but more just having to deal with, and live with the fact that he is now dead. What a tragic loss.
I'm sorry, we are all forgetful many times throughout our lives...It is human, and it's very sad when someone loses something as precious as their life because of it.

So be it, we are all different.. I don't expect people to agree with me all of the time on this international forum.

Juggling work, family, friends and social life is turning into an unhealthy life-balance. I miss the gym, and I just gotta get back into a routine again. Going out mid-week at night is starting to get hard!
Pity you live so far away, I'd get your ass to the gym
I had to re-prioritise my life to include the things that were important to me like:
Gym
Family
friends
shopping etc
So i worked out if i want to go to teh gym, I could only realistically get there early as i never got there in the evening, so now i get up at 5.30am go for a work out, shower and get my ass to work
Plus I then combined 2 things, every saturday morning I have a walking club of girlfriends, we do teh bay (7 kms) then go for breakfast (I then go back to the gym for weight training)
but it's a great way to get motivated - drag your friends into it!
Thanks for the good sound advice Morey, and I am listening. I have re-kindled my membership down the gym today, and my RPM instructor texted me with a month full of three sessions a week with his classes :)
If I had to priortise right now for me..well *sighs* first is work (cos I am trying to build and sell) 2) health (I had puemonia recently) 3) Family n' friends 4) Social Life 5)Education 6) Travel
Once I get the biz away that will all change 'tho! I can't wait!

On another “friend” related theme and without mentioning who these people are, it hurts that you pretend to be a friend and refuse to acknowledge that by showing others that you have an interest in my life by commenting here. Maybe you are not worthy of my friendship if you have to hide that, “friendship” from people you try to impress or group with. Get my drift? One thing I am not is stupid, and you are insulting me.

I must say on the whole, I fully concur and agree with the writer of this message below. Okay, I don't accept laziness but there are other factors to consider, just as English not being the native language, or dyslexia.

Not everyone on the Rave has had formal education and even if they did, this isn't a classroom and no one here should be judged for their language skills or writing skills, or lack of them, because we all come from different backgrounds. I've seen people like this guy practically crucified because of spelling or grammatical errors and it's one of the reasons that I rarely post anything at all in the forums. If the site wishes to become so obsessed with grammatical correctness, then I suggest that Cancer close the site to everyone EXCEPT those he and his upper management select as worthy.
It's a shame that this site is steadily going downhill because there are some people who just refuse to remember that no one is perfect .
Rant...partially over. I'll reserve the rest for another time.
I don't think the majority of people mind a few spelling or grammar errors. Obviously language barriers sometimes make things difficult but whenever someone makes it known that they have trouble speaking english, they are certainly not "crucified"
I visit the main forum, and yeah...I do think some of these people should have to take a test or something because they are so horrible at communicating. And that's what happens during the majority of people's time here on VR...communication.
It's fair enough for someone who suffers from dyslexia not to type in perfect english, but most of the time you can tell what is genuine poor language skills and just plain laziness. Using text talk and L33t is, unless some extreme form of as-yet undiscovered dyslexia, just a blatant massacre of the english language and should be discouraged :)
Cancer opened this site up to anyone and everyone who had an interest in vampires. When he did this, he may not have cared that many would be young and going through rebelious stages. He probably didn't give a shit that some members would be less educated than others. I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe when he created the site, he was only thinking of the fact that he could bring so many people together. People who had ideas, but no way to share them; people who wanted information, but no place to look for it People who thought they were outcasts in the their own towns and cities, flocked to this site because they thought they would be accepted here. Most are, but to those of you that aren't feeling accepted because of your poor communication skills...well, I guess it just goes to show you, no matter where you go, there's always going to be censur and judgment.
It drives me nuts to see something beat up so badly, it's hard to make out what the writer's intention was.
My son is the world's best maligner of the English language. He's been in resource classes all his life. He's 18 and struggles every day with school work. I can understand that people, especially kids, make fun of his comprehension and skills, but I see how much it hurts him not to be able to do the things that everyone else can. I see how much the comments and innuendos hurt him.
He's a great kid, with a wonderful personality and a kind heart. He's taking architectual graphics classes and is at the top of his class. His instructor says he's got brains galore, he just can't spell worth a damn...and he chuckles. My son loves this teacher because he doesn't care about his spelling..he cares about the person. How cool is that?
OH and L33t talk...(I never have figured out what that means, but I'm going with that text talk shit)...so what. Yes, it's poor communication, it's really quite stupid in my book. I hate when I catch myself abbreviating things like that...but I do. Ehh....this is a lost cause..to each his own right? I'll have my views on this subject and they will never match the views of others. That's ok with me. It doesn't make me a bad person, nor does it make them bad people. It just makes each of us individuals. Nothing wrong with that in my book as long as we ALL remember that no one should ever conform to anything...if it's not what they are ok with.
As I said, I abhor people being lazy..in grammar that would include people who use text talk in public forums!
However, in my opinion.. it makes one a very small person indeed if you publicly ridicule/humilate them for mistakes they sincerely cannot prevent happening because of one bonifide reason, or another.
Um..... em.... If I did I would be banned for life.. that includes spelling and typing

Thanks VR Citizens! I have loads more, but plan to get back to those mountains..those roads can be pretty scary to drive up and down, and a few of them have shrines where you can stop to pray before you up or down a mountain road!

Well, for all the fanciness, pomp and ceremony of New Years, I fell asleep and missed the big midnight!!! hahaha! think it was a mix of high carb, and high fat foods that sent my body into such a respondent state! OOh eerrr, that and the champagne cocktails with fresh blackberry juice!
Oh, yea... I think the Chef had one too many of those as well as he sent my fillet out blue! *UGH* Well, maybe he seen me around on Vampire Rave and thought I was a vampire after all!!
Tonight I start body pump again, time to not let the fat stick again!
Even 'tho I am off work until the 7th of January, I am really happy the "offical" Christmas holidays are finally over today. This means, I can catch up on some outstanding study and revitalise a few of my powerpoint presentations for classes. It will also feel good to get my diet and excerise programme back to normal again!
The hotel was just as class as always, the food was beautifully delcious, and the entertainment good craic! We had a wonderful time, but man am I am tired today. I haven't reviewed the photos yet, but when I do I will put some up in my scrapbook section of my journal :)
