I never knew trying to adopt a dog could be so complicated sometimes!!! Geez....first of all, they want to make sure you are 'perfect' for the dog. haha. I do understand that. And then there are the awful people that are just predators, and they want money. They are very eager to 'ship' the dog right away, without even knowing anything about you. So, beware of people like this. It really is better to have someone want to know your life history, than just want your money. There is a man, especially if you go to craigslist.org, and advertise for a dog, and he will email you right away and want you to send money, and he will ship the dog,(he will call it 'my baby'. He really pushes the fact that he needs the info so he can ship and he needs the money. He will attach a picture of the dog. But he doesn't want you to contact him. He made up a story about a fire that destroyed the connection. But, hey, if he has internet connection, he should have a phone line somewhere. He calls himself Pastor Billups...DO NOT have anything to do with him. You can search his email: pastor_billups@yahoo.com. It will tell you of warnings about him. BIG SCAM!!!



Well, now that that is off of my chest, I am having a lady come and bring a dog I checked on and she is going to make sure I have a nice fenced yard. If so, I get the dog. Cool, she is a Shephard/Labrador mix. She was a rescued dog. She had her leg hurt and had surgery to fix it. She is awsome. If I get her there will be pics of her in my portfolio. If I don't get her, there is another that I will go look at next weekend and If we like her we can take her home. She is also a rescue dog, and also a shephard mix. I have been trying to find a Standard Poodle. But they are few and far between, because I want a female that is at least about a year old. I don't have time to potty train, and go through the puppy stage. I like getting animals from rescue shelters. So many times, the animal has been mistreated, or abandoned. That is so cruel. I know if I get one from a rescue shelter, that I am going to give it a great home with lots of love and attention. Animals do not deserve to be treated badly.



Well, so much for my 'be kind to animals entry'...haha. On the other hand, I think I am going to be the new supervisor for the maintenance crew. I really hope so. I should know Monday morning. Our supervisor moved to a different position in the company. She is already greatly missed. She really made work fun. She will be a really tough act to follow.

That is just about all that is new. I will be letting you know if I get the dog and which one I get!.... I am excited. I am a dog person about as much as I am a horse person. Of course, I love just about any animal. Right now I have 2 cats, 2 snakes, fish, and have had more, but have thinned them out, so to speak. But I really miss having a dog. They are so theraputic. They relieve a lot of stress for us.
