i got myself a new tattoo last weekend. now some might ask why that might matter. well it does because of what it is. it is a dark purple pentagram outlined in black. it matches a necklace i wear that is silver. its not finished though. i have yet to add the elements to it. but that is just a matter of time. when this part of it is completely healed.

i got it done because of the nightmares i was having and the things going on around me no one seemed to be able to help me with. i was given a great many ideas, but somehow they always seemed to get around them after awhile. now this is permenant.

why a pentagram? because it is one of the oldest protection symbols in the world. why purple and black? because black is supposed to repel evil and purple is aligned with spirit. that and they are my two fav. colors. it is right in the middle of my right thigh on the side so i can reach for it when ever i want. it is also easy to cover if need be, but also available to have out in the open.

i was going to use the colors of my Goddess which are blue and silver and before that it was red. but this is personal to me. so i thought if its for me and about me, then it should be what i like. so far... i have slept like a baby. except for the first night i got it. i woke up chilled to the bone shivering uncontrollably. my friend who did it said that was because of everything i had been through and it was cleansing me. the second night was just the same but not as bad.

i might have thought it was the ink, except my seventeen year old got a tat, and she didnt have the same problems. she slept just fine. she however got a cresent moon surrounded by stars. her boyfriend was angry with her. i was proud of her. he didnt want her getting a tat. thinks it makes you a bad person. now thats funny. the deal her and i made when she was fourteen was this... she could get a tat at 17 or 18 as long as it was somethin she always loved and it was strictly for her. her boyfriend tried to get her to get a purple moon. i would have been fine with that except it wasnt what she wanted. that wouldnt have made it about her. so he was mad again because she got what she wanted. boo hoo. she has always loved the moon and stars and her coven name also portrays this. so when she came up with the design i wasnt surprised. now my 13 yr od wants one, but as i told my oldest... you have to wait until your of age and it has to be something you have loved all your life.

most of our friends think its pretty cool i let our 17 yr old get one now instead of making her wait another year. so does her friends. i'm just happy its somethng she likes and its all about her.
