The physical therapist worked me today. I have improved. I can now walk four minutes straight when I could only do two minutes last week. Still exhausted from the BS going on with my mother. I still haven't been able to get her out of that dump she is in. I need a vacation!!
Went out for a bit to unwind and relax. Here are the photos from the day.

I see on occasion where some newbies are complaining that they dont like the coven they are in or are pissed that they got inducted into a coven against their wishes. It says quite plainly in VR manual that CM's can force induct people into their covens. That basically means you will be in a coven, like it or not. The only thing you as a newbie can do it try to get into a coven you desire. The first thing you should do when you are getting close to level 20 is check out the covens. See if there are some that suit your fancy, and then get in contact with the CM and their ACM's. These are the people who can induct you into the coven. Talk with them, make friends with them so they are willing to induct you. Make sure you choose wisely as you may be with these people for a VERY long time. Then follow the following instructions:
At level 17 or 18, go on lurk if you are a premium member. This helps to keep you off other CM's and ACM's radar screens so to speak. It will be harder for them to know when you are on.
Let the CM and ACM's know when you hit level 19. This way they can watch you and be ready to induct you the minute you hit level 20
DO NOT go for level 20 until you know the CM or ACM's are on. If you hit level 20 and they are not on to induct you, you are prime target for any other CM or ACM that wants to induct you.
When you know the CM or ACM's are on go for level 20 and dont dawdle. Rate like crazy until you hit level 20. Remember, we CM's and ACM's have lives outside of VR. The last thing we want to do is to have to watch someone for a whole day or days for you to hit level 20. The longer it takes for you to hit level 20, the greater the chance the ACM may have to log off to meet whatever commitments they have outside of VR. Also its not wise to log on and off. If we see you log off, we may log off too and then you could hit level 20 when you log back on and that leaves you open to being inducted somewhere you dont want to be. Its best to just go for level 20 in one shot as fast as possible and get it over with.
Contact the CM or ACM's the minute you hit level 20. Every second you are level 20 and not inducted gives some other CM or ACM a chance to grab you.
Maintain good contact with the CM and ACM'S from level 19 until you hit level 20. If you must log off while still level 19. Let us know and if possible, let us know when you plan to log back on so we have an idea of when to keep an eye on you. This frees up the CM or ACM's to do other things instead of sitting in front of the computer refreshing the screen for hours and days on end. Follow these instructions and you should be able to get in the coven of your choice, dont follow them, you will wind up somewhere else and it will be YOUR FAULT!! No sense in complaining about it. You can ask the CM to be traded out, whether they do so is up to them. You are at their mercy.
COMMENTS
Yes,Thats right dont complain if you dont follow the rules for induct in the coven you not wont to be in,and follow the rules and make contact with the CM and ACM'S.
Well said John!:))
Sorry I havent been on the last two days. I was beat form coming home yesterday and my left foot started acting up this afternoon after I went to the store for some emergency provisions. I hope I feel better tomorrow.

I just got home and I'm settling in. Just had my first decent meal in weeks. I feel much better now.
After two nights dealing with a screamer in the room next door and another screamer, a lady having been sent out of here, Its been quiet on the floor. I hope to get a good nights sleep. Tomorrow morning I have to take a shower and pack my stuff. My ride home in an ambulance is at 11am. I cant wait to get home!! I plan to order a personal pizza and garlic knots from the pizza joint the minute I get home! I look forward to a REAL dinner as well. I cant believe the progress I have made since I got here. 10 days ago, I was in so much pain, I couldn't walk. Now I am back to where I was, perhaps stronger. The swelling in my feet is almost gone. Oh and that reminds me, I have got to make sure I get my pain meds back. They have been dispensing from my own supply since I been here. They never got it from their own pharmacy.
Got a new patient in next door yesterday. Last night around midnight he started yelling. I thought I was going to be dealing with a screamer. I eventually drifted to sleep. I woke up just a little while ago (4am) to answer a call from mother nature and lo and behold, the floor is nice and quiet with the exception of whatever the hell is always beeping. If I could get rid of that sound, it would be totally silent. Oh well, I had just jumped on here to check on things and now I shall jump off and get some more sleep while everything is still quiet. No doubt they will be starting their crap soon enough with giving me meds, yes they actually give me a pill between 5 and 6 am :-P and the beeping from the door to the outside by the kitchen begins. This has got to be the NOISIEST place I have ever been in!!
COMMENTS
Nurses comes and goes.
Beeping machines all around.
Patients complain about everything. Even why their room doesnt have plants. Hospitals are like that. 24 hours the day.
You just relax and close your eyes. Let all this bad sounds out of yourself and focus on your recovery.
I know its hard but your health matters more than all the noisy people in there
Its hard not to think dark thoughts in a place like this. Yesterday, Sunday was particularly bad. It started off with my left ankle swelling up and I was in extreme pain, then the right ankle decided to join in. It took forever to get pain meds and then for them to work. The bright spot in the day was a visit from my father and two friends of mine. After they left, the nurse informed me that the lab results of the blood they had drawn earlier showed that my white count was up and they were going to taper me off the prednisone. All I could think about was the pain that I was in that morning and for the second time in 24 hours, I had wished that the renal failure and shock had taken me. Compounding this was the fact that I went searching for a vending machine for some comfort food and learned that they are on the second floor where I cant go. Then mother nature called and I decided, screw it! I aint using that damned wheel chair or a damned walker and walked my butt to the bathroom. I figured, if I fall, I fall. Might's well go down fighting. Well, I made it and and have done so ever since. Now I just want to get washed and get my clothes laundered. My hair feels like shit, I feel dirty and I hate it. Gotta bust some balls later.

Aww...talk about a good news/bad news situation! I'm so sorry that your mom still isn't home yet hun. *big hugs* I thought the max she'd be in there was 10 days?
And actually, your four-minute walking is actually GREAT news! Just remember the age-old saying: Rome wasn't built in a day. :) I'm here for ya if you ever need an open ear and an open mind!

Thanks all for your kind thoughts. Mom is still in that place but they are now kissing our asses. She now has a private room and her case is being handled by the nurse in charge of the whole facility. We have gotten her procedure scheduled for September 7 and I hope she will be home September 9th or 10th. I just hope her doctor doesnt try to stretch it out to the maximum time allowed by Medicare.
