The Forgotten Ones. Part 1

Myrra took a long drag off of her cigarette, sunset colored eyes watching carefully as the ash fell to the counter top. It had now been eight hours since Zathe had left the house, and she was beginning to get worried about her companion. Sure, he could be a pain sometimes, but she couldn't help but worry for him. Looking back into the bedroom, she saw her lover sprawled out across the snow white sheets, long, light brown hair covering a good bit of her tannish skin. Myrra couldn't help but smile. Neara would be asleep for some time, she thought, and she was long due for some fresh air.



Stepping out of the cabin, the light hit her hard. It had been a while since she had actually went outside, and her eyes were trying to readjust to the sunlight. With a sigh, she pushed back thick, loosely curled, black locks out of her face and put out her cigarette. The hiss of the ember across the wet leaves was soothing to her, like a short lullaby. However, now was not quite the right time to be calm. Her eyes narrowed as she trudged through the forest, determined to find her long-time friend.



The harsh wind bit at her caramel colored skin and reminded her to wear thicker clothes next time. She had to admit that wearing a short black dress with matching leggings probably wasn't the warmest of clothing options, but she figured she would survive. In the distance, she caught a glimpse of cream colored hair and her eyes glimmered, certain that this being was Zathe.



"Where have you been? It seems like days since you've been home." she asked, her voice a bit of a bark, but only out of sheer concern. The bright haired man smiled, blue eyes shimmering with glee. "Oh, no worries, Myrra, I just came across a weary traveler. I told him he could stay here for a day or two until he has to head down his path again." he explained.



Out of the shadows walked another man, long, silvery hair accenting his sharply angled face. Bright green eyes seemed to pierce anything they looked at, and when they met Myrra's her heart nearly sunk. She knew exactly who Zathe had found, and knew well he didn't have a clue what trouble this young lad was getting into....
