I've bought three books on the Medici. It was a costly venture, but being able to write in the margins and jot ideas and connections beside a highlighted passage...bliss.
I love Google. Bless you, Wikipedia, but nothing...nothing beats a real book in your hand with leaves and a nice, hard cover.

You can't forget the smell of a good book either. I love to just breathe in the words and feel it in my hands. I think over the years I have caressed books with more tenderness than I have any lover:)

I agree with you Irony. I have smelt the pages, kissed passages, etc..

Yes it's also the taste of a good book as I devour the contents in a frenzy...

Do not compare these pleasures, ladies! Do not be so merciless! Don`t forget that the books are the result of living people...
Those miniature charming dreams are eating our lives in one of the most pleasant manners!
*sigh*
Should I say un-lives?

By the way, you know that the family was contemporary with Dracula`s father?
Some say that in this painting , in the group of Sigismund of Luxemburg, Dracula`s father was depicted... and this is possible.
