Come To Me13:14 Aug 15 2005

Ruthless as the elegant moon.
Ghostly as the careless rain.
Cold as the distant stars.
Languid as the gentle wind.
Swift as the churning sea.
Now, my Lestat, come to me.
10 Things I Love About You

I love the way you make me smile,
When I think of your sly face.
I love that in your presence
My heart can start to race.
When your eyes fall on me
Emotions all rush in.
My heart overflows with love for you
When I think of what might have been.
Most of all I love the vampire
Who's hiding out within!

All life gone out of me
No fire left to feed the dream
No more love from thee.
The Eyes of hope no longer gleam.
Gone are the ageless gaze
That always sent my heart ablaze
The smooth and gentle flair
That could degradedly ensnare
The sense of caution and despair.
Thy graceful, skillful fingertips
Have lost their sweet caress.
My last breath has passed my lips,
My heart and soul you now possess.
With new and rare life I rise,
Dance and play and sing till dawn.
With you I stay till the sunrise,
Over your quenchless lust I fawn.
"This love," you say "can now endure.
You have captivated my heart,
But for now we must depart."
I feel this intense lure
Towards the abyss
Of never ending bliss.
Can the world be more cruel?
When withholding this,
The eternal kiss
Of an immortal you cannot dismiss.
This is my personal favorite poem,

I Shall
Shall we talk of love?
My hand in a silken glove
Holding your soothing hand tight,
Shall it be morrow or night.
I shall love you to death
With my every life-giving breath.
With your every light touch
I shall seize as such
A miserable creature in a trance
Never to know the thrill of romance.
We shall talk with a natural ease,
And with a cool gentle breeze
Stirring the gold in the air
That never revealed itself there
Where emotions weren't stripped bare.
And as I lay my design out to you,
I shall mend my poor heart, that you slew

Dare I believe
That you have returned?
Your face haunts my dreams,
Your body stirs my soul
To start the hunt again.
I follow your scent,
Heady and new,
As it churns up a desire,
A hunger inside,
That only your flesh can satisfy.
Such an errant quest,
A momentary victory –
For in a fervent embrace,
Your body warms
The frigid blood which flows
Within me –
Burning passion
Like a waking dream,
Ignites the hope
That this time you'll remain.
But loss is my true companion,
Taking your life just the same.
Alone, now,
With centuries of chaos
My only anticipation.
Empty, now,
Save for the ringing pain
Which drums upon
My undying heart
And drives me to seek your soul again.
~PASSION FOR PAIN~

There is a desire
Smoldering in my blood –
A passion set ablaze
By temptation,
A hunger satiated
Not merely by flesh.
Pursuit is enticing,
Sweet in itself,
But it only delays the inevitable.
In the velvet shadows,
Beneath a limpid moon,
Lips will touch your skin,
Tender and soft,
Teasing until you succumb
And invite my attentions.
The pleasures I bring
Are consuming and cruel—
Passion for pain,
An equitable trade.
Your blood was my sustenance,
It was your fear that I craved.
A cry rings out,
But the end is the same –
You were only a victim
In this vampire's game.

The bones of my lover
have turned brittle and white.
I know, because I remain.
The passion we shared,
once all-encompassing,
long ago became a pain
I would rather forget.
Lost love gives little comfort
in an eternity alone,
so I embraced the killer within –
taking life was easier
than living it.
I existed for the flesh,
which holds so many pleasures;
carnal satisfaction is only one.
Fear holds an indulgence
all its own, and a taste
which I grew to crave.
I followed the hunger
wherever it led,
while paths became lanes,
and lanes became streets.
My quarry continued to change,
yet the allure began to fade.
Now, after eons of night,
not even fear entices—
I dance a wicked step
in this courtship with death,
until all becomes a blur.
Life,
love,
death,
they are all the same,
for in the end, only I remain.

Hungry –
So hungry for your flesh
That my teeth throb.
It is so much more than
Carnal desire…
The dance between us,
This game of pursuit
Tantalizes,
Rises in waves
Akin to passion's heat,
Until my body burns,
Pulsating
To your unspoken name.
I want you,
Want to taste you now.
An ardent moment,
Beneath midnight's cape,
Sensual and unseen – Touch and tease, and then,
Furtive contact
My lips soft on your body,
My teeth bearing down.
Fear mingles like spice
With the scent of your skin.
I feel your pulse falter
Beneath my tongue
As I drink you in.
And yet I am not satisfied.
