Never fancied myself as one to enjoy growing and then cooking my own vegetables. Surprise. Tonight's menu is fresh tomato basil soup with cayenne pepper pumpkin seed garnish and broiled polenta squares with just a tiny bit of fresh date honey. We are eating well tonight. Cheers!
I have always been a decisive person and once my mind has been made up to do something, I do it and don't look back.
Excited for what is ahead....

The Gators losing to another Division II school ?
Cute Tim, but no my life transcends VR and football.
Haha, and here I was hoping you were referring to the...er...uh...second coming. ;)
Today has been a lesson in worry is simply a waste of time. I have been worrying and dreading today and tomorrow for two months. Today, although exceedingly long, just hasn't been as bad as my mind had convinced me. No, not pleasant, but certainly livable and tomorrow it will be over and I will know. Hopefully, I will not have to go through this again until I am 50. Amen.
I have finally made the transition to vegan and so far I am loving it. I really thought I couldn't give up cheese and I do expect a cheese relapse here and there, but for the most part its good. Also completely free of ALL artificial sweetners and caffeine. Someone is going to inherit a glorious stash of delicious teas and coffees. :-)

Congrats!
I guess you won't be giving up on the liquor though...lol
That's a great goal! Sadly I love cannolis too much.
Yep! Giving up liquor too for the most part. I am not a big drinker anyway. I barely average one drink a month, sometimes not even that.
You had me at coffee... Once we moved and are all settled I will have my organic garden, but oh look you said coffee :)~
I have to learn how to say no. I was dragged into yet another seemingly full-time volunteer job today. Now not only am I serving on the audit committee for this particular large organization, now I have been roped into serving on the Board of Directors. Oh yes, and one of the requirements is a monetary donation. Sheesh. Oh well... I already donate to them so, I suppose I can donate a little more. It just amuses me... volunteer jobs that require LOTS of time.... there is NO compensation.... AND you a expected to give a large monetary donation. LOL. It is rewarding personally so that is why I do it. It is just funny in hindsight.
... just sit back and read some kismets, profiles and journal entries and think to yourself, these people have NO grip on reality? NONE! NONE at ALL!
I used to find it amusing. Now I think I find it troubling and saddening. I really hope that they are more grounded in reality than they portray here because if not..... ......

Or maybe your reality isnt their reality.
I'm always saddened by the catfish.
Some escape from daily life, but they are still sane; some are bat shit crazy.
It's the way of the net. lol
reality ? seriously on this site ?
I used to but these days I just don't have the time too many other things going onto ponder on the lives of those here with the exception of those that are in the circle.
The straw stealer is at it again.... stealing straws from juice smoothies is apparently a high catly priority.
I can't wait to post pictures of the almost done, newly remodeled guest room. I decided to try painting my accent wall in chevrons rather than stripes or some other pattern. Being the big ol nerd that I am, I popped a chalk grid along the whole wall and mapped the points of my chevrons with dots, then played a fun game of connect the dots. I did two wider chevrons in a deep, rich chocolate brown and a cool ice blue and one thinner chevron in a slightly off white/light tan.... wowza.... GORG! Then I painted the remaining walls in the off white, light tan color and hung a vintage crystal chandelier over the bed. I replaced all of the furniture with deep, rich espresso furniture. The hardwoods are dark, with a hint of cherry coloration. The linens are ice blue and chocolate. All of the trinkets are silver. I am not quite done, but it is going to be so very pretty. I cannot wait to post some pictures. I really love redecorating!

I really need to get it finished so I can put up the pictures. I keep finding stuff I want to do and changing things. I have found THE BEST place for vintage light fixtures. AMAZING!
