O..M..G my cat is such a prima donna. I'm going on a trip in a few weeks so I had my son install a cat door for me in my back door and that little brat refuses to use it. Well he is going to have to figure it out because mommy isn't going to be catering to his highness's every whim. Jasper will actually nip you on the calf if you don't do what he wants, when he wants it. He's full of attitude. Heh.

lol! I think cats deserve to be prima donnas. The other day one of my cats was taking cat food for herself and closing the container afterwards. xD For an animal with no thumbs, she knows how to do a hell of a lot.

Watching the Olympic trials today and I never cease to be amazed at the dedication and diligence of these athletes. They are simply amazing. Phelps is one of my favorites and I see Lochte and Clary are giving him a good run, looks like a great showing for the U.S. Can't wait to watch it all go down :)

So the Supreme Court upheld the Health Care Law today. I hopped onto C-span after being prodded and discussing our difference of opinions on the issue with Pinja. I really don't know what to think about the whole thing. Both sides say the opposite of the other on what it will do for Americans. And just what do they consider "affordable"? I have a distinct feeling that my idea and theirs would differ.



I'm on the fence.

As one who lost medical coverage with being laid off from a relatively good job, I can say that I'll take whatever I can get!

It is horrible - and scary - when one doesn't have any coverage. It also pisses me off, as I am now on a county plan that takes forever...and I wouldn't even have that if it wasn't for 'Obama Care'.

I think of all of the years - 30+ - that I've paid into the system, and see women on welfare with 4 - 5 kids, getting shit for free. Now that I need some temporary help...I can't get shit. Well - I did get an appointment to see a doctor about my stomach and knee problem...at the end of November!

Looks like I'll need to put aside one - two days to hang out at the county hospital's emergency ward to get anything done...hopefully.

Sorry PB - I didn't mean to take over your comment section - lol.

Just booked my air flight and hotel to go to Nevada in October with one of my best friends, I'm super excited! We have been busy making plans for the last week and now it's set. I've been to Vegas 3 times so we decided to hit Laughlin this go round. Something to look forward to :D

Flying in and out of here, watching my grandsons for 10 hours a day is exhausting, they are 18 months and 4 years. So when I get home at night I don't have much left in this old hag lol. Off I go...

It was a tough day. Went to my friend Pam's funeral, then a graveside service and from there a gathering/luncheon at the church. It was nice exchanging stories with her family and friends even with all the heartbreak. A lot of tears were shed, I'm really going to miss her. :(



And then....I attended a baby shower. I guess that is the way life works, he takes ones away but gives new life too.

On Tuesday my long time friend Pamela Shull passed away. It just doesn't seem real although we knew it was coming as she has been suffering for years with Alzheimer's and Dementia. She had become bedridden and just a shell of her old self.



I met Pam almost 20 years ago when I was hired on at Rosauers where she was already working, Pam was so energetic and vivacious, just that kind of person you couldn't help but fall in love with. Looking over old photos of good times together, ski trips, my bridal shower, her going away party with a bunch of us girls in the back of a limo toasting with champagne and popping out the top hollering at anyone within earshot lol, and the karaoke, oh lord.



I loved her dearly and she will be missed but I know Pam wouldn't of wanted to go on like she was, she didn't even recognize anyone anymore, not even her twin sister. She had a strong faith in the Lord and is in a place of love. ♥
