I like them, but agree. Already they're being used for reasons that are rather trollish.

Cancer said we can write about our hobbies, our lives, the things that interest us offline.

And yet someone still manages to make an entire entry about getting less than a 10.



Gah.

I like the idea - but not the way it's being used.

I was thinking the same thing - they are what journals should have been.



Especially the uploading graphics feature. I would have loved to have that in journals.

I know what you mean. Right now, I have 2- 3, and I'm thinking 'Who the hell were you before? And who the hell are you now?" LOL!

I hear ya. I wish there was some way we could know who changes their name and to what. I realize some people have legitimate reasons to name change, but some do it over and over. Usually when I delete them, they message me with "Hey! this is so and so, add me back!" but sometimes they don't....ah well!

I doubt I will ever change my user name. It has grown on me way too much and I really wouldn't have the patience to actually message everyone and go "hey... it's Ducky!".

Yeah I have had Theban since I joined...I find it hard to keep up with all the name changes.

I have many people who because they changed their pic as well i find it hard to keep track as well, when they also change their names. I changed mine once (my KYRA one) but that was because my whole profile needed a re-doing and I got tired of the name. My nicknames change often in r/l as well, so it actually doesn't surprise me that i haven't changed it again.

I'm thinking i might change it once again, once I find the name that completely suits me, and only me. this one will always stay the same but my KYRA one definitely needs a change once i figure what name to use.

yup. I have a lot of these on my friends list and it really annoys me. Sometimes I have no idea where people disappear to LOL



I wont ever change my main profile name but this one, I've already changed 'cause the name I have now suits me better.

I couldn't be bothered with those kind of people if they have to hide like that. It just simply means they were never friends at all, just dicks.

In all fairness, if you added them- there was probably a good reason, yes? If I changed my bane, messaging the 500 people that have added me would be impossible. Sometimes people feel the need to start fresh because someone they know outside of VR has found them here and they need to change things to stay hidden. Lots of reasons, not just because they wanted to clear their rates, and some of the other reasons people make name changes. It is just not always the worst scenario.

I've given up keeping track of the millions of alts. What I do find interesting is that it's the same people behind the VR name that I am always intrigued by. Name changes will not undo personality, unless they are schizo and taking on a new persona with each one.
