Well this sucks donkey balls. Got an e-mail from the new Mrs. Brown, I call her Thing2; lecturing me on the electric scooter I got my son for Christmas. Seems she called the Police Department here to see what the laws were pertaining to riding them. One of her Clients children got hit by a truck while riding hers, it was the childs fault apparently. Well, turns out they are illegal to ride off of your property. She tells me the police will give your child a ticket for no license and no insurance, WTF?? My son is 9, the scooter is for kids 8 and up. I had planned on taking him to the park/Bikepath and letting him ride there, plus he rides in front of our house along the block, very carefully. It can go up to 10 mph.

I am sorely dissapointed and a bit irritated.

This was on the news only a day or so ago in my country.

Electric and petrol-powered micro-scooters are not, and never have been, road legal in the UK. Recent court rulings have imposed heavy penalties on users, treating the machines as small motorcycles, in law.

Thus, riding an electric scooter in a public place (a public road, footpath or cyclepath) can result in prosecution for riding without insurance, MOT, tax, and a BS-standard motorcycle helmet, resulting in hefty fines and (according to a number of recent cases) points on your driving licence.

Sad but true.

What I got for Christmas was seeing the immense joy on my sons face when he saw that Santa had came. It was priceless. It will probably be the last year that he believes so I savored the moment. There is nothing like watching your child rip through all their presents, all that work and effort gone in seconds LOL...he was happy/I was happy.

I just heard that my daughters dad had 2 strokes and is in intensive care, he lives in Florida so we can't just hop over there to see him as we are in Idaho. I'm afraid for him. I had a major stroke 5 years ago myself and it was a close call. I haven't spoken to him since our daughter graduated from High School this year and he came up here for it. I really can't stand him as a person but I would never wish this on anyone.....this is sad.

I am irate! I received the Wii Console just fine but the games won't be delivered until after Christmas, I was GUARANTEED delivery well before. When I tracked the games they had came within a few hours of my house in Pasco, Wa. then they sent them clear across the country to Chicago Illinois!! What the hell??? That doesn't make any sense at all, somebody messed up and now I have to tell my little boy he won't be getting some of his gifts till AFTER Christmas and he has so few gifts this year. I called Fed-Ex, all they could say was oops.....I am not happy. I won't be ordering online through Walmart again. Fucking Fed Ex dipshits...Oh and don't forget the extra money I paid for swift delivery.

Just got home from seeing Avatar in 3D with my son. The line went from the actual room it played in to outside and sold out, we were lucky to get tickets and we were even there 45 minutes early. It was pretty good but not that fabulous that I would wait in line for it again and was super long. Still, love 3D movies...

What makes a really great book? For me its a book that makes my emotions run the gamut. I just finished a book that gave me all of that and more, agony, fear, hope, suspense, turmoil, I even cried several times. I also got a little lesson on quantum physics heh. I love to read and its the first thing I choose to do in my spare time. I get so immersed in these "other worlds" that when I put the book down for a moment I feel a bit surreal and then it dissipates. Books are my great escape......

Dang! 9 year olds gift lists just aren't what they were when I was a kid! Its all electronics and very very expensive. Shit, I remember when my oldest kids even were little and they were happy with toy cars and action figures ( I have a 18 year age gap between my oldest and youngest child), but my son wants things like an X Box 360, IPod, Electric Scooter....you get the idea. Oh to be young again...

The Evil Inside Us All

When reading a really good book do you ever find yourself rooting for the bad guy? Even though you know they are an evil psychotic freak and are doing the most horrendous of things? I caught myself doing just that last night. This character is warped but extremely fascinating, the way his way of thinking is so fucked up but entirely sensible to him. And to think there are people like this out there.

In case you are wondering I am reading "From The Corner Of His Eye" by Dean Koontz.

Then I stopped to wonder why in the hell I am wanting this evil bastard to keep on doing what he does. To see what he does next? To appeal to my dark side? To keep the book exciting? I am simply mesmerized .....

Love Dean Koontz... but nah I have never egged on the bad guy in his books, he usually doesn't give them anything that endears them to me.

There are some books and movie adaptations where I have found myself doing this though, so I do understand... I especially find this so when you are shown the characters background and thus have a better understanding of the "why's" behind their actions.

Well my car was broken into last night, tis the season. I say broken but it was unlocked, I live in a town where there is little to no crime, what there is is usually drug related. Its not unusual to leave your doors unlocked around here. The freaky thing is that I was probably awake when it happened as I was up till 4:30 a.m with my usual insomnia. And my car was parked in the driveway which stretches all the way to the end of the backyard, very long, my car was just feet away from my backdoor which is actually a side door and the one we use. The porch light was on, TV and living room lamp. Took some big balls.

My glove box was left open with papers askewed everywhere, trunk open but I didn't have anything in my car worth taking thankfully, I am a little worried about identity theft as I think I had some mail in the glovebox.

Someone was looking out for me though because last night I had went Christmas shopping and my trunk was full, I almost just left everything in there as I was so tired when I got home but at the last minute I brought everything inside.

I'll be locking up tonight....maybe I'll go buy a gun.
