Getting things together for a dinner party we are hosting tomorrow night, my resident chef shall be doing all the cooking, simple fare from the barbie ;) Although he is going to make some bacon wrapped scallops, the jury is still out on seafood for me, ack. But anything wrapped in bacon can't be all that bad right?!

Pinja surprised me with a trip out of town so I could see Elysium at an Imax theater. We drove 2 hrs just to see it and it was well worth it. Great movie! Awesome action and a plausible storyline. Must see peeps :)



We had a nice lunch, went to Oil and Vinegar to buy a few goodies for the kitchen, and got Justin some ice cream at Ben & Jerry's. We don't have any of those shops here so it's a treat for us.



All in all a great day :D

I had no idea I was afraid of heights really, I can handle most things but I learned different on our camping trip. We rode our 4-wheelers up to the top of the mountain to Bertha Lookout point where they have a Fire Lookout Tower. The people that were manning it invited us up to see the view. It's all wood and 67 feet tall. All I can say is that by the time I got up to the top my legs were shaking lol. Beautiful view, just stunning wilderness, and we could see a fire off in the distance. However, not sure I'll be doing that again any time soon ;P

That sounds so fun. When I visited my family in Canada my uncle and my cousin and I took the 4 wheeler to the top of a mountain. Or hill. We don't have any hills or mountains here, at all, but we do have lots of water views :) I love living near the water but mountains sure are beautiful.

Four wheeling, fishing, hiking, huckleberry picking. That's what I will be doing for the next couple of days. My son Justin and I are going camping with some close friends, so excited to get out of town for a few days!

Have you ever watched Drunk History on Comedy Central? OMG that is some funny shit and yet still oddly educational. It is exactly what it sounds like. Actors and/or comedians get drunk and tell us some of our history. Gotta watch it, it's sooooo entertaining. Thinking I should have a few cocktails myself the next time I watch it ;)

Loving me some Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. We've been having shark watch marathons, the shows are really good this year. Definitely a creature to respect, their eyes give me the willies, so freaking scary *shudders*.

So the hard drive on my Toshiba satellite is toast, this is the second time in a year! Thankfully it is still under warranty, barely I just have a month left. So right now I am using my very ancient VAIO laptop. It's lasted longer than my new one go figure. However it takes eons to get it loaded and going, slow as a snail. Thus this is why you haven't seen or heard from me on any of the social networking sites I frequent.



I'll try to get on when I can but you most likely won't be hearing from me for a week or two until they get it repaired. it's just god awful painful to use this old geezer.

YAY! So excited, Hell on Wheels is back! Or will be on the 10th. Looks like they finally got things sorted out. Such a great show, if you haven't seen it before you really should. It's on AMC and season premier is on the 10th :)
