I think we have all made mistakes... I know I have and they have bite me in the ass a few times. I know how you feel. My life work wise is great , I got promoted , major raise. But I come home and I realize how lonely I am. There are so many people in the world and we are all so lonely sometimes. People who love you should know where your coming from. And sometimes we all have bad days and say things we don't mean. That is why there is forgiveness and understanding. Your a great person pat yourself on the back.

I was in a similar kind of situation not long ago, my ex's dad rang me out of the blue and wanted me to take my daughter to meet him for lunch as he was passing through the area on his way some where else, this "Grandad" has seen my daughter ONCE in 5 years, he hasn't bothered at all, I found out my ex had had a go at him and that was the only reason he had rang me I believe, my daughter doesn't know him at all so needless to say I declined his offer, he hasn't bothered in 5 years and I didn't see why I should go out of my way to meet someone like that who was probably only wanting to do it out of guilt, I put up with him when was still with my ex, don't have to now.

Yeah, obligation is gone.

My son eats is with banana all the time- it was Elvis' fave sandwich. But it was specifically, 'fried peanut butter and banana sandwich'.
