We had a concert last night. It was a spy theme. We played the themes to "Get Smart","Mission Impossible", and "Peter Gunn", as well as a medley of themes from various James Bond (007) films. We also played two movements from "Water Music", one movement of a Shostakovich violin concerto (with the Young Artist Competition winner), "Two Tangos" by Piazzola, and a piece by Ravel.



During "Two Tangos", the second chair first violin and the conductor actually did the Tango for a few measures. I couldn't watch because I was too busy playing. Darn it!



No rehearsal this Monday, but we got the music last night. It's all Sibelius this time.
