Well it has certainly been an interesting week.
Sept. 11th... Which is always a difficult day for so many
My parents are in Ireland... without me (jerks)
And my dog's separation anxiety reached an all new level.
He's 14 and set in his ways which for the most part just makes him more adorable. My parents are now both retired so he is pretty much constantly around someone...
He is usually only left alone for various day trips. Most lasting no more than 4-5 hours.
Unfortunately while my parents are away and I have to work... he must be on his own all night (9 hours +)
I, in general, hate to leave him, but bringing him to work seemed silly... especially since I'd still have to pay for a room for him to hang out in.
Well that all changed on Thursday morning when I came home to find him in his kennel... bleeding.
He had freaked himself out so much he tried to force his head through his kennel bars.... The bars won.
Ugh.
He's chewed and bent the bars before (which I hate), flipped his water bowl and soaked himself, even went to the bathroom before.... but this was a new one.
Luckily it is only minor cuts and no vet visit was needed but SHEESH DOG!
So for the remainder of my parents trip.... Dumb dumb must come to work with me. He can hang out in a room at work while I do my job.
For his safety and my sanity.

Aww, poor doggie. Some dogs can't handle being alone. Hope he's doing well going to work with you.

He was pretty pissed about that too. He had to watch me run around all night while he had to stay put. And in the morning I got thrown major shade as I had to take out all the other dogs for morning walks haha
But this (and I told him) is entirely his fault lol
