LordV and I decided to go to the local playhouse, here in Woodland. The local playhouse, put on a production called Twi-lite. It is described as "A breaking dawn eclipse of the new moon - with a 1/3 less teen angst". This is a musical-comedy-parody-melodrama fracturing for fun the current world-wide craze.
It was quite interesting, Of course we had Bella (Which the Edward kept mixing up by screaming STELLA!) Edward, who explained that he died in a tri-wizarding competition. (Ask if you need it explained) Jake - the other hero, that never had a shirt on and always flexing his muscles.
This particular play was set in Spoons, Washington.(Twilight is set in Forks, go figure). Edward's father wants to buy the B&B castle that Bella and her mom run. It is peppered with corny jokes, hits against other local towns and a peppering of songs.
You haven't lived until you hear Jake singing "I wanna be your man". Or Edward beseeching Bella to "turn around" while singing, "Total eclipse of the heart". And last but not least, Jake and Edward trying to win Bella with Jake singing "Hot Blooded" (I got a fever of a 103) and Edward singing, "I'm as cold as Ice."
It was fun, different and something that broke up the week. I'm glad that we caught it. We both laughed out loud and had a good time.

Oh wow, that sounds like it would be seriously entertaining. I wish awesome show like that went on around here. I like the bit about Edward saying he died in a Tri-Wizard Tournament.

ROFLMAO! heehee I got it- thankfully. That sounds divine, and something really cute to watch. I took Scott to "Evil Dead, the Musical" a couple of years ago for his birthday- I even got us seats in the "splatter zone"
He adores me now...lol
