1) Do you have the guts to answer these questions and post them as "The Controversial Survey"?

-Yes.

2) Would you do meth if it was legalized?

-Nope, I prefer to have control of myself.

3) Abortion: for or against?

-A woman has the right to decide for herself regarding abortions, myself included.

4) Would our country fall with a woman president?

-At this point, I think a woman might take care of our country first, instead of last.

5) Do you believe in the death penalty?

-Yes, but they need to limit the appeals, or get like Europe. Once you are found guilty, death penalty is carried out within hours.

6) Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?

-For chronic pain and Cancer patients. Yes.

7) Are you for or against pre-marital sex?

-I honestly think, that prior to your marriage, you should know your spouse extremely well. Making love, gives you the chance to know them on a whole new level.

8) Do you believe in God?

-In a way, yes.

9) Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

-Yes. Their way of showing love is no different than "Regular" marriages. They deserve to be allowed the benefits, as "regular" couples would get, being married. (Family medical coverage...etc.)

10) Do you think it's wrong that so many illegal aliens are moving to the USA?

-I think that the federal government has made a statement, in the fact that they aren't apposing illegal aliens working in the USA. I believe that it is every American's job, if you see an illegal alien, know that they are illegal, report it.

11) A 12-yr old girl has a baby...should she keep it?

-I don't believe that a 12 year old, would understand the changes to her body, let alone the sense of responsibility to another life. So, no.

12)Do you think the drinking age should be lowered to 18?

-I am of two thoughts on this. I hate that at 18 you can defend our country but you can't drink a beer. Yet those 18 year olds that aren't fighting for their life, would abuse this priviledge. So, I say, 18 year olds that have a military ID, should be able to get beer at the local commisary, on base.

13) Should the war in Iraq be called off?

-Personally I feel that we have done what we could for them. We can give them hints and help, but they need to stand on their own two feet. America needs to stop messing in other countries and start talking care of hits own home. Do you know what 316 Billion dollars, could have done for our economy, our starving kids and homeless shelters?

14) Do you believe in spanking your children?

-I believe in punctuation. A wack on the butt to drive the point home.

15) Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?

-I will go with Nightgame. Yes and then turn around and give the million dollars to a local military base, to be use to strictly help the familes of the soliders, struggling to make ends meet.

16) A mother is declared innocent after murdering her 5 children in an insanity case.

-Insanity is described as...

1. the condition of being insane; a derangement of the mind.

2. Law. such unsoundness of mind as affects legal responsibility or capacity.

3. Psychiatry. (formerly) psychosis.

4. extreme folly; senselessness; foolhardiness.

If a woman was able to plan and kill each of her 5 children, I see that as calculation and planning. That isn't insane, thats a murderer. Death penality....5 times over, the same way she killed the kids.

17) Are you afraid others will judge you for reading some of your answers?

-Maybe, but these are my feelings and they have been developed and changed over the years, depending on what I have dealt with in my life.

I have almost caught up with reading all the Anita Blake books. I have to go and find Blood Noir and I should be done there.

As I wait to try to find it, I am starting on the first of the Twilight series, thanks to Wolfbite and Silverbow, allowing me to borrow their copy.

I'm halfway through the book and I can see why it appeals to the teens in my coven. It is written from the views of a teenage girls, complete with her insecurities and the fears of every girl, starting a new school and having her first boyfriend. I'm enjoying it so far, if I like it, maybe Santa can bring me the series for Xmas.

On friday, I took the time to watch TrueBlood on HBO demand. Watches all of the first 3 episodes. Again, a very simple premise. Vampires in a bible belt, small town. Its interesting and I can see the hook, as you wonder who is going to sleep with so and so next, who is going to die next, framing Jason yet again.. I guess I will just have to keep watching....

'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.

If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.

So - if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit.'

For someone who wore a pant suit to most of the high school functions. I did wear dresses to the proms, but they had shorts or sweats under them. Yeah I'm a dork.

I grew up in a time when Jayme, was considered a boys name. It was before the Bionic Woman, Jamie Summers. So, whenever I tried to dress up, I was mocked for trying to be a girl. Then I stopped trying when I was about 14 and really developed because I was getting the wrong attention.

Previous marriages, wouldn't comment on my clothes or how I looked, good bad or indifferent. I now have a man, who refuses to allow me to cut my hair short, or to perm it, because he likes says it looks better on me. He bought me clothes he wanted to see me in, he bought me lacy underwear. *Blushes* He is the first one that has made an effort to make me realize, that its ok to be a girl. Just scary for me to learn this....at 37 lol. Even more scaryt to try some of this stuff on my own.

One of our members, had a dream, not long after the Guardians of Darkness helped her through coming to a hard decision about her life.

This is what makes being a Coven Master and G.o.D worthwhile.

I ran through the thick and rich forest. It seemed to me the only colors I could see besides the pitch black of the night, were green and red; Green from the blur of the trees passing I sped by, and red, from the fire on the tip or the torched behind me. I could feel the warm blood make its way down my cold back, sending shivers back up it as it crept further down. The tears on my cheeks seamed to freeze with the combination of the gust of wind I dashed through, and the cold, nearly freezing temperatures.

My legs threatened to give out under the exercise but I would not let myself succumb to the pain and less likely the people were following me ruthlessly. I knew they wanted my legs to fail, they watched to capture and torture me.

“I wish I had an angel to help me. Please send me someone to help me!” I screamed out as I raced past my breaking point. My legs began to fail, and I stumbled, tripping over my own feet, but as all this happened, I heard a distinctive voice calling my name. The voice broke me from the unconsciousness that I fell into, leaving me to find myself falling over a cliff.

There was no way I could stop myself from falling over the edge. The voice rang again as I began to abandon the hope of salvation. My hand seamed to act of its own accord and grasped the perturbing root of a tree, causing my body to swing back and forth.

I barely hung on, but when I heard ruckus, my ears turned in. I couldn’t see anything above me, everything was dark, and I secretly knew the hard crash below me was my ultimate fate. I couldn’t feel the pain in my back anymore, but the blood now flowing faster with my adrenalin was there. I assumed the blood was dripping slower as time went by because I would drift in an out of consciousness.

The yells from voices were the only things that kept me in tune to my surroundings.

“Leave her ALONE! She’s trying!!” Were defensive words I heard; by both masculine and feminine voices at that.

My hand began to slip, the only thing I could do way cry out.

“NO! I DON’T WANT THIS!” I couldn’t hear myself say these words. Hoping they had actually passed my lips.

“Heather! Take my hand!” Four voices sounded together. I looked up not expecting to see anybody, thinking my delirium was finally catching up with me, but as I looked up. I saw four outlines of people peering over the cliff. The outlines were each a different color. The blue-ish outline extended its arm, while the other three from left; green, grey, and at the far right, red, watched as the light called out to me. I trusted the blue aura immediately, as the aura was calming, soothing and comforting. I was not entirely sure of grabbing it however, I could not see this person’s face, and I did not know this person.

“Heather! It’s me! Take my Hand! You’re slipping!”

What amazed me was... this person knew I was unsure, hence why they reassured me. I reached over and grazed the tip of the hand’s fingers, and stunningly I could see that person’s face then. It was the face of a person I admired the most.

I missed her grip, but I tried again and by doing this, I felt the pain in my back tense and resist, hissing in pain I still reached for salvation. She grabbed my hand abruptly and, with help from the other auras; she lifted me up onto solid ground. Each new touch revealed a new face, CelestiaNocturne, LordVlkodalk, Lady Chordewa, and HellsGuardian, each helped me onto the ground. Lady Chrodewa, with the help of my family, lifted me up in her arms and walked away from the cliff.

The last word I could mutter before I awoke, “Angels”

Another set of random thoughts, but its more of frustrations...

LordV's and my premium accounts weren't suppose to run out until the beginning of October, so while we had the money, we decided to renew our membership with VR. We went through, ordered 6 month memberships for each of us and promptly lost our premium memberships. I was like...wth? Ok...note sent to Cancer, hopefully will be straightened out soon. You never know how much you like being a premium member, until you can't see who has visited or rated you lol.

I went to work this morning and was called into the office. I was told, that there was a parent complaint made about me, from the other pool that I work at. Let me explain. The Marshal pool, is in a poor area of town, right near the college campus.

This is firstenburg...

The firstenburg pool, is in a rich neighborhood and just went through 9 million dollars of updates. Including a water park, a figure eight with a current and a slide. This is all in 4 feet of water. Now I am told I have to pass all people that can do everything by Red Cross standards, except for diving and treading water. I'm not comfortable with that...

The firstenburg pool, is very loud and its hard to hear your students, let alone yourself talk. So, you end up having to shout a bit. I am a good teacher, but with 6 kids, my concern runs to safety. If I have to tell a child to get back to the wall, or to stay above water more than 3 times, I will have them sit out of the class, for 2 minutes. I talk to them, before they come back in, pointing out the dangers of not listening and my frustrations. Usually there is no problem.

The complaint said that I was pointing at the kids. Ummmm ok. Yes the ones I sat out, I shook my finger ONCE and said, you are sitting out for 2 minutes.

The complaint said that I wasn't smiling. Sorry but even I wouldn't smile all the time, it looks idiotic. If I have 6 kids that aren't listening and my heart goes into my throat every time I turn around, because they are doing something dangerous, even after I explained the rules. Nahhh you aren't going to see me smiling too much. There is a point between smiling and growling and just wanting the kids to be safe.

The complaint said, I wasn't having fun. Sorry but if you are a parent behind a plate glass window and you can't hear me, how can you tell if I had fun? I was laughing and playing with my parents and tots class, I was giggling with the 3 older girls in my level 5 class, as we tried to figure out where the breaststroke got its name. I giggled and played games with all my classes.

I know which woman complained about me. Her son, didn't make it to the first class, so I couldn't check to make sure that he belonged in my class. The child starts crying as soon as his mother leaves. I have to coax him into 2 feet of water, even when he is 4 feet tall. I coax him over to the little shelf in the water, so they can sit. We play, we splash, we dunk our heads and get use to the water. The minute her child starts screeching because his face got wet, she is down on the deck, insisting she needed to talk to me. Yeah ok, I will leave my class in the water, because the Queen demands an audience. I tell her, "I can talk to you after class, but I can't leave them right now." She demands her child. So, what can I do? I asked the child if he wanted to try everything and he made it look like I was beating him. So Mom took him out. I wasn't asked what the problem was, I wasn't given the chance to ask if he had a phobia. "Give me my child." ok...here you go.

You know, I hate being bullied by parents. I don't care how much you pay, or what you drive, or what you do for a living, you aren't going to bully me into passing your child, if they can't do the skills. I guess i'm not going to make friends over in firstenburg. Maybe I should just stick with Marshall pool. Where the parents come and talk to me, they ask before assuming when they see me sit their child out. They are more laid back and willing to have the kids learn from me....not just watch me jump through the hoops.

Oh well. Their loss and their child's. I will continue doing my job. If they see results, then they will be happy. I'm not changing to suit a parents desire to boss me around. I am here to do a job, not be a rag doll to kick around.

and not to be classiest...but i probably am a bit...the rich parents are always the hardest for me to get along. i'm not proud of it, shouldn't matter, but it does play into our roles.

Remembering 9/11

I was sleeping when my then husband called me from work and told me to turn on the television. I ran downstairs...got my mom off the front porch and turned it on. We sat riveted, watching as the rest of the day unfolded. We watched live, as the second plane hit the building It was 9:03am, September 11, 2001. We sat horrified. When I learned that my brother firefighters, EMT's and police officers were in the buildings when they collasped. I cried. I know that if I was still working, if I was stationed in NYC, I would have been there and done the same....

They say these pictures are too graphic to be shown on television anymore. I think we need to see them, to remember them and the horror.

Please remember all the victims and the heroes that tried to save the innocents.

From Reader's Digest...

Concerned when one of his most reliable workers doesn't show up, the boss calls the employee's home. The phone is answered by a giggling child.

"Is your dad home?" the boss asks.

"Yes."

"May I speak to him?"

"No."

"Well, can I speak to your Mom?"

"No, she is with the policeman."

Alarmed, the boss says, "Gosh. Well then, may I speak with the policeman?"

"No. He's busy talking to the man in the helicopter that's bringing in the search team."

"My Lord!" says the boss, now really worried. "What are they searching for?"

"Me." The child chortles and hangs up.

Talking with LordV, on the way to visit Silverbow....we had a discussion about my brother.

I asked LordV, what he thought of him. He stated that he was very arrogant. I agree. My brother is a very arrogant, stuck up person. I wondered why he was like that. So, I thought about it.

His birthday was on January 1st, for most of his childhood, he believed that the world was celebrating his birthday. "Mommy, I want to go and see MY parade in New York city." He never had a birthday party, as most kids did. As the first son, first born in my family, he was of course special. My cousins and I were brought up like brothers and sisters and Mike was the oldest of us all. So, at holidays, even if he was only 10, he got to sit at the adults table. He would rub our noses in it.In school, he was the straight A student. He was great when it came to school work, but as for relationships, he sucked at it. He didn't have that many friends and girlfriends...ummm nope. Is it a surprise that he married the first girl he went out with?? Nope. He went into the engineering program at Rochester Institute of Technology and joined ROTC. On every return from deployment, there were be a family party, to welcome him home.

From my parents relationship, he took away only what he saw on the top of it. My mother has Multiple Sclerosis also. She was diagnosed when I was one year old. My brother believes that my father, told her to stop working, to be at home with the kids. That is what my brother believes. Truth is, my mother fought to continue to work, even with the MS and two small children, (Mike was 4 and I was 1) but eventually it was the disease that made her stop. With MS, comes major fatigue and she was having trouble working the 8 hours as a schoolteacher. So, she quit. It was her decision and it was a hard one. Through my life she struggled to go back to work and have a career, but was never full time again. My brother saw the dynamics of my parents relationship, in that one instance. That my mother was home and my father provided. Very old fashion outlook for these days, I think. Another aspect that he took away from my parents relationship, is that he believes that a woman’s place is in the home and looks down at women. All through high school and college, my mother and I had to deal with his scorn, demands, commands and insults. No, my father wasn’t that way and he tried to stop Mike from treating us with such, disregard.. He putt down Mom for some reason, at a graduation of something for the Navy and his Commander and Lt. Commander heard him and he was laid into, in public regarding his actions. He only does it now, behind closed doors, in the privacy of his own house. So, lets fast forward a couple decades.

Mike is now a Commander in the Navy, about to take a new position in San Diego, technically he has several Bachelor degrees, but I don’t know them offhand. Just know, they are in the area, where he laughs and says that he achieved his goal, he is officially a “Rocket Scientist”. His wife is a stay at home mom, with ADHD and an abusive background from her father. She is a submissive in every sense of the word and its grating at her. She scrambles from day to night, to get everything done, that he deems needs to be done, only to come home, cook his dinner and have a martini waiting for him when he comes in. He comes in…does the Ward Cleaver, “How was your day dear?” and ignores her, as she rattles on. He will take about 5 minutes to play with his son and then demand his dinner. I mean folks…I lived with them for a couple weeks. One day, Mike came home to make dinner. He didn’t include me, or his son. He made the dinner and took it outside with his wife. I asked him about dinner for me and his son and he basically looked at me like I was nobody. Nothing like being treated like a poor relation….although that is what I am, due to also having MS, but it’s hard to feel that from my brother.

I found out truly what he thought of me, when my parents made me, executor of their will and their medical proxies. They had several reasons. One, I new their medical conditions and had enough medical background to be able to make an informed decisions. I knew about their day to day schedule, I called them every other week, if not every week, to find out how they were and how they were doing. They knew, that if I found something in my mother’s closet or jewelry case, that I would give first dibs to my Aunt, my mother’s only sister. Same goes for my father’s guns and his things. Their deep believe, was that if they died, Mike would send his wife to handle the burial and disposition of their estate, especially if he was deployed. Since Mike couldn’t be bothered with them when they were alive, they figured he wouldn’t bother with them, being dead.

Mike of course, was angry. He felt that it was his right, as first born to be executor of his parent’s estate. He told my parents, that I was a stupid, lazy individual and I would never be able to figure out the ins and outs of the legal papers, let alone dealing with lawyers and taking care of everything. All they had to do is look at my High school transcripts and College transcripts to know this. They told him simply, “Some people are good at school, some are not.” He said, “But look at what she does….menial work, in an Ambulance.” My parents told him, “Yes she saved a life yesterday, did you?” He continues, “But how responsible can one person be, after having two failed marriages.” My parents told him, “Jayme’s first marriage was physically abusive, the second was mentally abusive. She has matured and realized that her happiness is more important. If anyone failed in the marriage, it was her husbands. Has nothing to do with how responsible someone is” This went on and on.

Eventually, my father had to pull the “Father” card out on him. Told him that this was their decision and as their child, Mike would have to deal with it. It’s odd. My mother and father call me first, when there is a medical emergency. When there is a medical decision to be made, or to have something explained to them. I have discovered, somewhere in my life, I am no longer looked down at, as their child, but looked at eye to eye, as an adult. A trusted adult, that they consider friend. .

Randoms things from today...

I started the Thyroid medicine today...the increased dose I mean. I seem to have more energy...but am going to the bathroom often. I haven't started increasing my water yet, so I know this is due to my meds. *shrugs*

Tomorrow I go grocery shopping. I am going to go to costco and if things seem cheaper to buy in bulk, I will spend the $50 for a year for membership, even if its for meat in bulk, it will be worth it.

Went shopping today. Milk was $1.98, but the sign next to it...says 2 for 5.98. Now I'm not a math whiz, but its not a deal when 2 would be $3.96 and where does the two extra dollars go to?

Was listening to Brad Paisley's Waiting on a woman. About always waiting for a woman to be ready to go someplace. I was thinking...geee..this is depressing. I have always been a tom boy of sorts. Between Swimming, playing Softball, being a firefighter and EMT. I am never late to go anywhere, want to know why? Well, I was never taught how to put on makeup, or how to curl my hair. Or basically how to be girl. I also don't get dressed up too often, because again, I wasn't helped with what looked good on me, what fit me, or what would be good for me to wear. When I did try in high school, I was often mocked for "attempting to look good." So, I gave up.

*Looks over at Rat rubbing her hands in the corner, giggling to herself.* If you wish to teach me Rat, I will let you. No clown makeup though...

When I first met LordVlkodlak, he noticed that my jeans had holes in them, my shirt was a Man's oversize t-shirt. So, he took me shopping. He bought me a skirt, a satin shirt and shoes. I think I have only worn them maybe 3 times, because simply they aren't things you wear around the house.

My hair was not even shoulder length, permed, REALLY curly, as you can see in my portfolio, of the picture of LordV and I together. Someone asked LordV if I was his mother. LordV, Khornesone and Silverbow have threatened me bodily injury if I get another perm in my life. My hair is now down to between my shoulder blades. Since then, I have been mistaken for a 25 year old and been carded the first time in my life. Odd for a 37 year old, but its true.

This gives me even more incentive to loose the weight. I have a man that has incredible taste and wishes to take me out at times. I am still faced with holy jeans and manly shirts and no conception of what would work on my body style. So, lets loose the weight. As I replace pieces of my wardrobe, I will attempt to be more stylish. I promise. Now just to figure out what stores to go to.

So, these are the random thoughts that I had today...I know...I'm odd.

*makes a note to discuss ritalin with LadyC's doctor*

Ok ... um ... first. OH - HELL - NO! You are never permitted to introduce your hair to anything that will curl it, ever again.

Second ... I like the tom-boy look. I love you in jeans and t-shirts (especially mine). I would like them to not be holy - but you don't need a closet of fancy clothes - just one or two things for the extremely odd occasion (hell, mine don't even fit anymore).

Third ... don't ever contimplate turning into a person that I have to "wait" on. Been there - done that - don't need to experience it again. A little here or there is fine if you so choose - but lord help me - if I end up waiting 3 hours for you to get dressed - I ain't gonna wait.

Love you.

Lets face it.. The place for old jeans torn up like that is yard work or painting or :) rough housing. If they get torn more well, shucky darn.

You deserve much greatness in your life.

Do I need to pack an emergency unperm LadyC hair kit? If so I need to go pick up some more rope, I think I have pleanty of duct tape.

Go ahead.. perm it again.. see what happens.

I can fix that... real easily.

Maybe a loose spiral perm would be nice... maybe.. let your hair grow out some more first.. we will look at it then..

From one of our threads....called Dedications....

From LordVlkodlak:

With all of the thoughts and prayers surrounding New Orleans ... I thought I would dust off this thread and throw out this moldy oldy.

The Battle Of New Orleans

By: Johnny Horton

In 1814 we took a little trip

Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip.

We took a little bacon and we took a little beans

And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans.

[Chorus:]

We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin.

There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.

We fired once more and they began to runnin' on

Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

We looked down the river and we see'd the British come.

And there must have been a hundred of'em beatin' on the drum.

They stepped so high and they made the bugles ring.

We stood by our cotton bales and didn't say a thing.

[Chorus]

Old Hickory said we could take 'em by surprise

If we didn't fire our muskets 'til we looked 'em in the eye

We held our fire 'til we see'd their faces well.

Then we opened up with squirrel guns and really gave 'em ... well

[Chorus]

Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles

And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.

They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'em

Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.**

We fired our cannon 'til the barrel melted down.

So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.

We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind

And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.

[Chorus]

Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles

And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go.

They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch 'em

Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.**
