Today I went into town for a friends birthday, we all met up at a famous bar called The Dick Turpin. This pub use to be so full of character with its wooden beams and saw-dust floor, oh and gigantic hearth that would be lit during winter, it was great. But now, on revisiting it after about three years we found it completely renovated into a 'yuppy' bar ... so we ending up moving on. I wouldn't have minded so much but we were two car loads and thought we'd cracked it with the parking.
My date was kind enough to drive her car and birthday boy's girlfriend drove the other... it wasn't a good night for the girls. lol
All in all we had a great evening which was topped by a shower of an inch or so of snow, the further we headed east and back home the snow turned to rain and within ten miles of my home it was bone dry.
So one down and two more to go, and that's just this week. I think this will make November very boring. lol

The family wheeled Grandma out on the lawn, in her wheelchair, where the activities for her 100th birthday were taking place.
Grandma couldn't speak very well, but she would write notes when she needed to communicate.
After a short time out on the lawn, Grandma started leaning off to the right, so some family members grabbed her, straightened her up, and stuffed pillows on her right.
A short time later, she started leaning off to her left, so again the family grabbed her and stuffed pillows on her left.
Soon she started leaning forward, so the family members again grabbed her, and then tied a pillowcase around her waist to hold her up.
A nephew who arrived late came up to Grandma and said, 'Hi, Grandma, you're looking good ! How are they treating you?'
Grandma took out her little notepad and slowly wrote a note to the nephew...... .

Oh the fun started in the car, we had 5 large-ish people getting unintentionally intimate (thrown together you could say) in a rather medium sized (ok. small) peugeot!
