Balancing work life with personal life is such a challenge. The more I advance at my job the more I appreciate and indeed count the time I have for myself. There really is precious little of it except the weekends so I value those even more than ever.



I'm looking forward to this holiday weekend especially. I will travel north to see my brother and parents. Nice little road trip for me and the dog in the new car. I've been needing some meaningful time off work and it seems the balance trick is to take extended times off versus just one or two days here and there.
