The events leading up to the kissing, and the description of the tastes and smells were altered, but the kissing... The kissing is the same. i'll never forget how his lips felt against mine, or how his heart beat in time with mine.... ugh....

he slowly wraps his arms around her, while she sits there tuning the world out. She looks up at him with questions in her eyes. He smiles as their noses touch. For the first time she realizes that he smells like wildflowers and musk. She gets uneasy because he's never done this before. He caresses one cheek with his finger tip. Lightly. His eyes sparkle. she shivers. he pushes her hair behind her ear, and without thinking, she leans her face into his hand and closes her eyes. This feel so right. Like home. She sighs as his lips brush hers and her eyes fly open. The touch was so light she wasn't sure he'd done it. The light behind his eyes tells her he did. She tilts her face some more and parts her lips ever so slightly. He licks his and notices her's. He's nervous now that her eyes are open. He presses his lips against hers again. This time harder, and she inhales sharply in surprise. Then relaxes under his hands. She runs her fingers through his hair and pulls him closer to her. Bodies touching, but only their lips matter. Slowly, testing each other's reactions, their tongues meet. She tastes like vanilla and he tastes like cinnamon. Her favorite flavor. They go back and forth moving their mouths together like they were made for each other. Clinging tighter to each other. Hands never wandering past the other's shoulders. This isn't the kiss of passionate lovers. It is the kiss of newly discovered love. Where kissing tells the entire story. Each sigh. Each light nibble. Each slow and soft tongue tickle and sucking on the bottom lip. Eyes fluttering open to make sure the other is real. Face caresses, and slight hair pulling….
Then she wakes up, crying. It was just a memory after all. The warm body next to her is just her purring cat.
