Sean shut in stuff day 1030th. I think.
New laws in an Australian state (New South Wales): Six months in jail and $11,000 fine for leaving your home without a reasonable excuse.
Hello America! *points up*
But America be all like 'There a ship coming in! Let's all leave quarantine and put everyone's lives in danger to go see it!"
Some people are stupid and really do for the most part deserve horrible things. Where is the army and/or the police with batons bashing the hell out of those people? I am sure though the police are too busy looking for people with less pasty white skin tones to hassle. I wish I was joking.:
Total COVID-19 deaths projected to August 4, 2020 in United States of America
83,967 COVID-19 deaths
I try to be more upbeat on my next post.
Later All! Be safe.
Sean's Shut in (Working from Home) Journal , day.... I forget.
I had to venture out to get food. I planned on making a pot roast. Had to scrap that due they were sold out. I plan my meals for myself and my roommates and I am the head cook in the house. It was tough trying to get what I needed per meal I had planned. Ended up buying what must of been 5 cows worth of hamburger due to the small packages were all gone. Then to the chicken, again the small packages all gone so I brought a bag of chicken that I am sure has 6 full chickens cut up in it. These larger quantities they were limiting 2 packages per customer. Off to the bread aisle. YES!!!! A few loafs; I got one. Most likely I will regret not buying more when this one loaf is gone and there are none left in the stores. One thing I noticed all the Little Debbie snacks were gone; empty shelves where they were suppose to be. Its really odd what people buy during something like this. Also, my favorite potato chips are sold out. That was a oh hell no moment. So I will just be cooking chicken and making one HUGE meatloaf. (I am joking, I will freeze half that hamburger) Really suck though there really was not much meat left at all.
On another note, This virus has given us the insanity that is the Tiger King on Netflex and thankfully, the internet has not let me down. That is one crazy show! Keep em coming Netflex.

Here are some sketches done while sitting around today:

Then I also did this. It'll be in watercolors, mostly blues and greens since the working title for this is "The River God's Daughter".
And that is all I have done today. I hope you all keep safe, calm and Living your best lives in quarantine.

For those who have lost track, today is Blursday, forthteenth of Maprilay.
my shut in diary entry:
Today Alexa went off at 9 am. Not opeing my eyes I told Alexa 'Shut off Alarm.' She then told me to have a nice day Sean. Yes, she used my name. Must of been some kind of update with her.
2 hours later I arise. I shower. I put on sweat pants and tee shirt. Same attire for the past few days. I make a smoothie. I take my roommates dog out because he is still asleep. It's a nice day out. I dream of going to the beach or a park. But I am not that type of person. Nope I shall shelter in place. Yelp. Yelp. Ripley does her thing and we both come back inside...
I load up skype... say hi to Liliancat. She still asleep too.
Go to YouTube. Find this song.
Get a text one of my Buddies tested positive. I felt bad because I was glad I had not seen him in a few weeks. He is in the Military.
I got my paints out.
I call it Under The Sea.
I am going to paint tomorrow too.

Day 9 and 10... Working From Home Sucks!
Main problem with working from home is that most people I work with don't have a ton of stuff they can do from home. So everyone is going stupidly bonkers coming up with ideas in Discord. I was sent an email today saying I need to sign up (I was waiting to be told, I know what a shitshow it's going to be in there). Everyone with a pet project is abusing this opportunity and the worst idealists (who hate me for bringing them down with things like priorities, appropriateness, or even basic sense) are running wild.
Worse, the boss has decided he doesn't want to do calls or email anymore (see above, he's running himself ragged trying to be a superhero), so now important announcements are buried in Discord chat. Without an official email update. For things like 'we're extending our work-at-home policy for 2 more weeks to mid-April' Ohhhhh, I see. I found out because a friend had to get into the Discord thing early (ordered to).
Meanwhile, I've been going in and getting a few computers at a time and getting a ton of shit off my backlog. I've been constantly denied when I request setting up a VPN so I can work remotely (for 7 years straight), so they can kinda go fuck themselves now. I've got more work lined up than I can finish, even with the extra 2 weeks I officially have not been informed about Ohhhhh, I see. But I'm being given all these 'online' tasks that everyone has to do, because nobody else has enough actual work, so it's getting in the way of me doing actual work (I probably could've finished the majority of my backlog just having 3ish weeks of uninterrupted workbench time!).
Jfc these people are bad at this and everyone rushing to pretend they're good at it. I'm in an almost perfect place (would be better if I could vpn to my servers), but my morale is in the shitter because I'm not being left alone to work. Blah. Tomorrow I am taking off.
Now for some humor, Italy.. KICKS ASS. I especially love the dude telling students if you have a party he will send the police... with FLAME THROWERS!

Quarantine Day 6: After much mental debate, I decided against sweat pants for a quick trip to Home Depot before everything shuts down. Clearly I am devolving, because my shorts were inside out.
14 deaths, 485 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia as of 11 am today.
I think this is day 5. LOL I had to think about it. Ok, here a tip. Before the white folks came to our lands this is what we used for TP; we used twigs, dry grass, small stones, and even oyster or clam shells. We are/were clean people.
I decided I wanted to go home to be with my family. So, I contacted the powers that be and I am told shelter in place. O.O. So here I stay. I am in contact with my family daily. I miss them.
I wish I was home but it is what it is. Sean is sad.
I bet there will likely be a spike in divorces because of this. And also babies being made.
I started watching last night Avenue 5. This is the new "sci-fi" comedy on HBO by Armando Ianucci, creator of Veep and In the Thick of It. It wasn't quite as funny as Veep on its surface, but did have some good moments. The premise looks like it could have some length to it - what should have been an 8-week trip turns into a 3-year voyage of the damned, led by Hugh Laurie as a phony captain and Josh Gad as a mixture of Donald Trump and Elon Musk (when he's stoned, not the smart Musk). Some pretty good effects used for good slapstick comedy in the first one and a little bit of Ianucci's patented fast-paced dialogue. Check it out if you are bored. Its a good Covid watch.
Everyone stay safe.
And I leave you with this:
The Plan

Bro, that sucks! Well, you kinda figured that might happen.
Well, stay safe, stay positive and stay laughing. ^_^
Oh and I am going to start doing a tip of the day. Here is my first one:
Tip of the day: If you run out of toilet paper, find the nearest cornfield...(with permission of course) pluck yourself about a dozen ears..take em home shuck em, cut and scrape the corn off the cob in a bowl for consumption later and WALLAH!! What you have left over is a corn cob with better ripples than Cottonelle
omg you guys are too damn funny!!! hehehe I like sprayed my coffee LMAO!!!
i would of but i have'nt got any yet but is about to go to make a cup yumm coffee hehe
Attention VR I have something to say/ask!
There is a Global Emergency going on right now. This shit is real. Can we not as a community just during this time, stop attacking each other and come together to help each other who have to stay home (which soon might just be every member of this site) to get though this; just for now! You know that person you use to be friends with few months back that you are now attacking via journal or honor could get this virus and die. I am not being alarm-est. I have friends all over the world, like many here on VR, and shit is bad in some places and if its not bad where you are, buckle down because its coming. Can we NOT just for a little while stop the drama and put it aside for a bit and reach out and check and see how everyone is doing? We have members all ages. Also now in Italy many from ages 20 years to 50 years are in hospitals on life support! So, if you think that 20 year old you are hating on can not get this, they can! Then how could you feel. This is reality, look at the states just in the state I am in:
Confirmed cases and deaths in Georgia.
COVID-19 Confirmed Cases No. Cases (%)
Total 287 (100%)
Deaths 10 (3.48%)
And Italy, I was not going post this but some here need a good dose of reality, a friend of mine in Italy sent me this:
The following image comes from Bergamo, in the Lombardy region here in Italy. Bergamo and Brescia are cities that are paying the highest price right now; ICUs are completely full, as well as hospital beds. Hospital personnel is exhausted.
And there is no more space in the crematorium and mortuaries.
Army vehicles are waiting outside the cementery, to bring bodies to other regions so that they can burn them. The first group of coffins will arrive right here in my hometown of Modena.
Can we not as a community, just for now, come together. Then after this National World Crisis is over we can all go back to our thing here. PLEASE!
COMMENTS
You are expecting the normal problems to actually care about something other than themselves
I believe anything is possible during a time like this. It starts with each of us. If someone here is trying to pull you into drama with them, simply do not engage. For now. Post positive stuff, lets help each other for now as little by little we all are having to stay home. As many of us are worrying about our Elderly, family members, friends, loved we we know who are on the front-line of this epidemic at this time: This World. Check yourself. I am stuck here where I am and can not get home to my family to be with them as I watch each state one by one going on lock down. I do not want to freak out those here who have anxiety issues however, this is something this Earth has not seen before. This generation...
this shit is real..every place here are closed down until all this ends i dont think we're on lockdown yet but we might be soon enough ugh
State of Florida just went on lock down according to news and friends I have there.
this sucks
Day 4 and I realize that I am not a stay-at-home type of guy. Also, the cats and dog I think are not liking it much either. Well maybe the dog. You can leave the house for 5 mins and come back and he behaves like you were gone for months. The cats on the other hand want to cuddle less and less. Maybe they are self quarantine from us! They are not sure about having people around all day. A friend of mine from Modena, Italy says it is really bad there. He sent me some pictures but I will not post them here. I feel bad for him. Italy though is about the size of one state though in America and does not have the population like here. I am in contact daily with my family in Canada. My mom is a RN. I worry about her; though she is good health. My Dad stays with my brother so my Mom when she is able too can come home to sleep. Sometimes she works two days straight, sleeps a few hours, then back to work. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy. Stay home if you can.
Peace Out.
Staying home day...3.
After watching the news today and I HATE watching the news.
Learn the symptoms. Dry Cough. Shortness of Breath. Fever.
Learn the treatment protocol. For most of us, it would be: Isolate yourself, watch Netflix, and try not to injure yourself masturbating too much (generally, if you draw blood, you've gone too far). They specifically do NOT want most of us to go to the doctor is we're symptomatic unless we present significant impacts. Keep the virus isolated.
Whether ill or healthy: Stay the fuck away from people with compromised health, whether from medications, medical issues, or age. However, don't treat them like lepers - call them. Video chat them. Unlike most of us, they actually have something to fear. Help them feel better - and a big part of that will be helping them avoid fear.
If you get it, and you do not have clear and obvious elevated health concerns (age, disease, medical issue, being an asshole with a karma bill coming to get yer ass), remember that you've got a significantly greater chance to die in an auto accident (1 in 77 in the US) than you do to die of COVID-19 (1 in 200) according to the best stats we have - which are based upon confirmed cases of COVID which likely mean that the 1 in 200 is far too high as a lot of people are bugging through this thing with just minor discomfort - and are likely not even reporting it because they're too afraid to admit to themselves they have it.
And if you have purchased more than two cases of TP in the last month - yes, you're an asshole.

I'm sure my tape measure will be very popular, I want nobody in 6' of me, I'm going to be running on the assumption that everyone has been exposed, since nobody has been tested and the cases in NY tripled over the weekend, spreading from the NYC/capitol region to spots across the state. The most frustrating part is lack of testing, nobody knows how bad (or not) it is.
After listening to the news, when you do go out, this is what I have come up with. Basically, once you are at home, you have two paths:
a) You go the "gung-ho/insane" (but also the healthiest one, yes) route: remove shoes right at the entrance, sanitize every sealed package you bought along with the bags (as you know, virus sticks onto the plastic and metal surfaces), then you throw your clothes in the washing machine, wash your hands etc.
b) You just avoid touching your face 'til you stored everything into the fridge/wherever else, put away/throw away the bags, wash your hands then just hope for the best (well, yeah, I've always removed my shoes whenever I came back home anyway).
Think I'll take the b) route
What’s it with humans and toilet paper?
I’ve been shopping today and you still can buy nearly everything in abundance. Well except soap, pasta, disinfectant of any kind, canned tomatoes, milk and toilet paper.
Are they building nests? Is this some weird tomato and TP based fetish? A new drug that’s made of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, cellulose and tomatoes? Aliens?
The amount of TP people bought could pay for a Japanese butt cleaning toilet or a bidet and you’d probably still have money left.

LMAO!!! omg right? add to that rice and potatoes LOL. I have never seen it this nuts. I thought Y2K was the thing back in the day. Nah, this takes the cake LOL.
I almost had hope left for humanity before this lol
alll our shelves in Florida And Michigan are emppty canned food tp and rice and beans are gone, so are the damn ramen noodles I could go for some about now. Also Jerry went to by meat and all they had was chicken drumsticks.. guess Ill be living off chicken when I get home.
1. Think do not panic. Get news from reliable source. (And if you know a reliable news source please, let me know. I am new in the USA. )
2. Wash your hands!
3. Stay the fuck inside!!
4. Stop touching and licking things!
5. Stop complaining and be civil!
Yeah this sucks. Starting tomorrow I will be working from home since our office will be TEMP closing. (I work with many people all ages). Take reasonable steps to not get sick, don’t hoard supplies.
Be chill and be kind!

Sound advice.
the picture of death and toilet paper lol
I finally decide to get out of bed after working hard all week. I make coffee. My roommates are still dead to the word I assume. Their bedroom doors are closed and no sound is coming from them. It's almost noon. I get a cup of coffee. Walk outside. I look up into the blue sky. I see 4 jet lines over the base area. I would have taken a picture of it but I did not feel like going inside to get my phone. It just looked so cool. I guess their is some type of training going on. Not far from Fort Stewart is the Army Air Base. Few weeks ago I got woken up to jets flying over low. I hope you all have a great weekend.
COMMENTS
Contrails from jets are awesome:) Watching them make it is even more breathtaking.
Yeah I stood outside while I had my coffee watching the lines form from them. Then one started to go straight down as the other three were going east. It was really cool looking.
I went outside to get something from my truck at 4:27 pm and those jets are still up there doing their thing. I am sure people who live here must be use to it but it's new for me. Really cool stuff.
Its the jets I sent you to take you here. Kidding
Its like the time the old airport used to be close to my old house. We could hear all the planes lifting and getting out and the noise was insane
Lets sit on the plane Mogy sent hun and go to vacations. I so meed vacations right now and I bet you need relaxation to angel
