I struggle daily with the hardships that plague humanity. The racism, hatred, indifference, the knowledge that the truly needy don't recieve the help that is promised to them, but the ones who want to take advantage and rise above others and take what they think is rightfully theirs get what the truly needy needs. Through their lies and manipulations, they get done what the truthful cannot. How readily is the world to accept a lie, than that which is true and unadulterated. Why is that? What is it in that lie that makes mankind believe the deciet and bullshit that is handed them on a dirty dish? Granted, I have respect for one who can lead someone so blindly to belief, but what about the ones who suffer from those lies? The ones who truly need mankind to extend a helping hand? What happens to them is simply this: mankind refuses to believe them when they say that they need help, that they cannot work because of some ailment or other. Then they are sent home emptyhanded to their loved ones, who are expecting a triumphant return and end to their torture. In my 28 yrs, I have learned to sit back and observe the workings of mankind and their silly little ways of judging who is worthy and who is not. My observations of this has brought me to the only conclusion possible.....Mankind are to be ashamed of, to be pitied, and ridiculed at the same time. Granted, I have run into some that have a heart of gold and would never imagine leading one soul astray, but mankind as a whole is inherently evil. Will go out of their way to make their fellow man feel inferior and worthless. This leads to the depressions and madness that possess the people you would never imagine to be as such. When a person is met with closed mindedness so many time there is only one thing that person could do....Delve within theirself to find what the so-called problem is with them. This leads them to question their self-worth whether it be as a child, father, mother, sister, brother, friend, etc. They only come up with the conclusion that there is something wrong with them and is undesirable to the community as a whole. Pride and predjudice is what drives a being into the void of depression and the thoughts of self hate and leads to anti-social disorders and even suicide to some. If mankind as a whole could make a conscious effort to accept a person or race as worthwhile, then there wouldn't be so much strife and war in this world. If mankind can go back to the days of childhood where there is no color or deformity seen, then maybe we have a chance. Maybe we could heal the wounds inflicted by false words, hateful words, or by glares of hatred and unacceptance. If we can see neither race nor religion, then maybe the door to new friendships and learning could be attained.
