of course many of Freud's theories r valid,
he was very sexualy obsessed (poss reason many now link libido with sex).
also his theories r mostly just a simpler form of wot Nietzsche sed.
Freud seems to hav missed the importance of Nietzsche's statements.
Nietzsche sed that all human drives lead bak to the neec to reproduce, but Frued took this to mean sex only not realising it also means relationships, family, betterment of life and much mor.
Even the need 4 survival leads to reproduction as if we do not survive we cannot reproduce.
The eternal transferance of energy (i.e never created nor destroyed) also came from Nietzsche,
this also supports Nietzsche's Eternal Reacurrance theory which might also b described as reincarnation.
Your frend Razel.
Freud conceived of the mind as having only a fixed amount of psychic energy, or libido. Though the word libido has since acquired overt sexual implications, in Freud's theory it stood for all psychic energy. This energy fueled the thought processes, perception, imagination, memory, and sexual urges. In Freud's theory, the mind, like the universe, could neither create nor destroy energy, but merely transfer it from one form or function to another. Because scope of the mind's capabilities was thus limited by the amount of psychic energy freely available, any process or function of the mind which consumed excess energy debilitated the ability of the mind to function now this is were psychic vampirism becomes feasible
