The fourth in my series of paintings called "I Vampiri " (which is Italian for The Vampires) - a new line of paintings that feature vampire beauties inspired by Italian Baroque & Italian Renaissance themes and aesthetics (many of which I have been hired to create for my upcoming Vampire Tarot/Oracle Deck). This fourth painting is called "I Vampiri: Notte a Cavalla" (or Cavallo) - which words literally translate into means "Night Riding" or "Night Mare" in Italian - pun intended!. I really enjoyed painting this one! I love horses and thought I'd incorporate one into a vampire painting, so I had to think about what sort of horse a vampiress would ride. This mysterious white/silvery beast seems to glow from within - rather unearthly! Her hooves appear to glow red as well. You can see a little horse skull in the corner of the piece, just for good measure. The Vampire herself is quite lovely, with a jeweled outfit that looks difficult to ride in. My own original acrylic painting.
