Based out of Charlotte, NC, Anders Manga released his first album, “One Up for the Dying” in 2005 on Vampture Records. The singles, “Shiver”, “Solitary Heaven” & “We Won’t Stay Dead” took Anders out of obscurity and into club rotation around the world. He was booked to play the infamous “Dracula’s Ball” in Philadelphia and co-headlined the GothStock Festival in CT that same year. In 2006, Anders released his follow up, “Left of an All-Time Low“. The single, “Empire On the Sun” climbed the charts on dark alternative radio station worldwide. The singles, “Glamour”, “Gypsy” and “Bloodletting (On the Kiss)” followed thereafter which spawned an east coast tour as well as a live performance at the Convergence 12 festival in New Orleans. Later that year, Anders released the album, “Welcome to the Horror Show” which includes the fan favorites, “Beautiful” and title track. This work earned Anders a “Best Band of the Year” Nominee from Gothic Beauty Magazine along with Lacuna Coil, Gary Numan & Skinny Puppy.
2007 saw the release of “Blood Lush“, Anders Manga’s heaviest album. The anthems such as “At Dawn they Sleep”, “Tolerate” and “Night of the Long Knives” became club favorites while the softer “Science Fiction” and “Sleeping (In the Fire) became fan album favorites. Songs from the album can be found in the horror movie, “Beg” starring actor Tony Moran (Michael Myers from John Carpenter’s Halloween & Halloween 2) and the vampire epic, “The Sanguinarian”. In support of ‘Blood Lush’, Anders headlined “Anne Rice’s Vampire Lestat Ball” in New Orleans Halloween night and also performed at the “Black Sun Festival” and “Cirque Macabre Festival”.
